April 20, 2021 | BY David Vergun , DOD News

Two Defense Department leaders discussed threats to the U.S. from China and Russia and the DOD's steps at providing a credible deterrent during a Senate Armed Services Committee budget hearing today.

"For the first time in our history, the nation is facing two nuclear-capable strategic peer adversaries at the same time," Navy Adm. Charles A. Richard, commander of U.S. Strategic Command said.

A man speaks at a hearing. A cup and microphone are in the foreground.

Stratcom is responsible for maintaining the nation's nuclear triad, which consists of strategic bombers, submarines and intercontinental ballistic missiles.

What is up with this guy?  He isn't concerned about white, home grown terrorists, those people the entire military had a stand down over?  Why did the military have a stand down to get 13 people in the crosshairs, if they aren't concerned about them?  It couldn't be something politically generated, could it? *****rollingeyes*****
