Jen Psaki: The President Does Not Feel That Child Refugees Are "A Crisis"

White House press secretary Jen Psaki clarified comments from the president this weekend that were widely interpreted as his acknowledgment that there is a "crisis" on the southern border with regard to child refugees and illegal immigration
"The problem was that the 'refugee' part was working on the crisis that ended up on the border with young people," Biden told reporters Saturday after a round of golf.
Psaki challenged that interpretation of the president's comments, telling reporters: "The president does not feel that children coming to our border seeking refuge from violence, economic hardships, and other dire circumstances is a crisis."
