Once again Car Salesmen are more popular than congress.

An overwhelming majority expressed dissatisfaction with the job Congress is doing.

Only 21% of likely voters believe Congress is doing a good or excellent job, compared to 54% who say it’s doing a poor job, according to a new Rasmussen poll.

While voters are a little friendlier toward their own representatives, with 31% saying they believe their local lawmaker is the best person for the job, more voters, 43%, disagree with that sentiment. Another 26% are unsure.

Congress has historically suffered from poor approval ratings, only reaching a high of 25% approval once since 2007. Most voters, at 59%, don’t believe lawmakers care what their constituents think, while only 16% believe lawmakers care.
