U.S. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.), an original member of “The Squad,” chastised political opponents who are using the term “surge” to describe the current crush of migrants and unaccompanied children along the Southwest border, claiming it is a “militaristic frame.”

“They wanna say, ‘But what about the surge?'” the self-avowed democratic socialist said during an Instagram Live session Tuesday night. “Well, first of all, just gut check, stop. Anyone who’s using the term ‘surge’ around you consciously is trying to invoke a militaristic frame.”

“And that’s a problem because this is not a surge, these are children and they are not insurgents and we are not being invaded, which by the way is a white supremacist idea-philosophy, the idea that if another is coming in the population that this is an invasion of who we are,” she added.

At Burger King, they called it a "rush".  A caballero may call it a "stampede".  At Taco Bell, they call it "a run for the border".  No matter what euphemisms pundit wordsmiths use to describe it, Biden's border policies are a failure and a humanitarian disaster.

I wondered where Squeaky Spice had been holed up.  Her and her big brain were at the library looking up "words".

She could us a good "surge"... A surge of blood to her brain. Might stop the confusion.

Invasion is what it is.

So invasion is the word I use.

Since I speak neither Gaelic nor German, I'll have to continue to use the language of my ancestor's oppressors and call an invasion and "invasion".   

AOC is too used to serving all the trains that pull into her as "surges".
