INTERESTING: Not one of these Muslims actually understands the meaning of the word “Islamophobiaâ€

No one described “Islamophobia†correctly as an ‘irrational fear of Islam,’ perhaps because they inherently understand that fear of Islam is NOT irrational. In any case, “Islamophobia†is never the correct word for anti-Muslim sentiment or anti-Islam bigotry. It’s simply a made-up word that seeks to capitalize on the success that the word “homophobia†has had in making people feel guilty.
One woman explained Islamophobia as a “fear of Islam because of ignorance about Islam.†I beg to differ. Ignorance about Islam is the reason most people do not fear Islam. But that all changed on 9/11 and the nearly 20 years thereafter, when there have been more than 38,000 deadly Islamic terrorist attacks around the world. Now that people have a working knowledge of the threat Islam poses to non-Muslims, their fear is anything but irrational.
One of the most bizarre descriptions of Islamophobia in the video is this: “Islamophobia is rooted in racism and is a type of racism that targets expressions of Muslimmess or perceived Muslimness.†Try as they might, they cannot make Islam into a race.
