In an open letter released Sunday, Pro-Life Evangelicals for Biden urged him to “honor his commitment” and include the Hyde Amendment in Democrats’ $1.9 trillion COVID-19 spending package, writing “we feel used and betrayed.” The letter states:

We are very disappointed about the COVID-19 relief package’s exclusion of the Hyde Amendment, a longstanding bipartisan policy that prevents taxpayer funding for abortion. We’re even more upset that the Biden administration is supporting this bill. As pro-life leaders in the evangelical community, we publicly supported President Biden’s candidacy with the understanding that there would be engagement [with] us on the issue of abortion and particularly the Hyde Amendment …We feel used and betrayed and have no intention of simply watching these kinds of efforts happen from the sidelines.

Has anyone found a link direct to this "open letter" I've looked for it without success, which strikes me as odd.

IF real, did they really fantasize that Biden, et al, would do other than they've done?

IF real, the presence of Ron Sider as a leader or influential figure in this group should suffice to show it was just partisans in ministerial robes.

This bill also includes a $50 million slush fund for Planned Parenthood that they can use to spend on whatever they choose.  These so-called "evangelicals" can congratulate themselves that their votes help line the pockets of America's largest abortion provider with approximately $140 for every baby killed.

On top of that, Planned Parenthood will now qualify for PPP loans.  The Federal government will also begin subsidizing COBRA which means that taxpayer dollars will now be used directly for abortion payments.

If they had included the Hyde Amendment it would have been okay with these Evangelicals? Funding Planned Parenthood, promoting children mutilating their bodies with chemicals and surgeries, defending Roe v. Wade, is all worthy of a Christian's support?
