Trump sued by Democrat over mob attack on Capitol

Former President Trump, his eldest son and several of his allies were sued on Friday by Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-Calif.) over their role in the run-up to the Jan. 6 breach of the U.S. Capitol.

The 65-page complaint filed in federal court in Washington, D.C., accuses Trump, his son Donald Trump Jr., Rep. Mo Brooks (R-Ala.) and Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani of inciting the riot and violating a number of federal and D.C. laws.

Each defendant was among the speakers at a pro-Trump rally that immediately preceded the deadly Capitol breach. The lawsuit depicts the incendiary rally speeches as a tipping point that culminated a months-long disinformation campaign to push the false claim that the 2020 presidential election was stolen from Trump.

Farts Swalwell should be sued by Trump for libel.

Trump was acquitted by the United States Senate.

The acquittal means Trump is not guilty and the suit brought by Farts violates double jeopardy.

Not only should Trump sue Farts for court costs, but he should demand a million dollars for pain and suffering.

Swillwell is going to discover that, unlike in Schifftyroo's Kangaroo Kourt, he will have to present evidence, his evidence will be impeached, and Trump's evidence can't be suppressed. Or maybe a judge will just look at the evidence that the rioters were planning their thing over a month before Trump's speech and laugh Swillwell out of court.

Trump, et al, need to counter-attack, [Metaphor] go for Swillwell's "jugular" [/Metaphor]. Swillwell has a JD. If he has a law license in any state that should be attacked for filing this obviously frivolous lawsuit.

Ex-House impeachment manager Eric Swalwell (D-CA) confirmed Friday he will sue former President Donald Trump, his son Donald Trump Jr., Rudy Giuliani and Republican Rep. Mo Brooks in a second major lawsuit seeking to hold Trump and his allies accountable for the attack on the U.S. Capitol on January 6.

Swalwell’s action follows a similar suit filed last month by Rep. Bennie Thompson against Trump, Giuliani and the Oath Keepers and Proud Boys groups.

Swalwell’s case echoes some of the same claims as Thompson’s — citing a civil rights law meant to counter the Ku Klux Klan’s intimidation of elected officials.

According to Axios, the lawsuit — filed in the U.S. District Court in Washington, D.C., by the law firm KaiserDillon PLLC — accuses Trump and his allies of conspiring to violate the civil rights of the defendants.

* “As a direct and foreseeable consequence of the Defendants’ false and incendiary allegations of fraud and theft, and in direct response to the Defendants’ express calls for violence at the rally, a violent mob attacked the U.S. Capitol, ” the complaint alleges.

* Swalwell alleges the defendants, “by force, intimidation, or threat, agreed and conspired with one another to undertake a course of action to prevent” Joe Biden from being certified as the election winner and holding office.

*Trump and Brooks are being sued in their “personal capacity.” The lawsuit seeks unspecified monetary damages and a requirement the defendants provide written notice seven days in advance of a rally or public event hosted on an election day.

democrats criminally harassed President Trump for four years, AND EVEN BEFORE AND AFTER HIS TERM IN OFFICE.  This is just more efforts by democrats, out to get anyone that threatens their one party only can rule agenda.  Trump should have forced more accountability of democrats criminality while in office.  He didn't realize to what extent the deep Staters had infiltrated our nation.
