National Guard Requested at Capitol for Two More Months

The National Guard has been asked to stay in Washington, DC, for another 60 days, a National Guard source confirmed to Breitbart News after Rep. Elissa Slotkin (D-MI) stated Thursday afternoon that she was hearing from contacts about the request.

Slotkin, a member of the House Armed Services Committee and former Pentagon official, said she had heard from contacts at the National Guard that Capitol Police asked them to extend their mission for 60 days and that the Guard is “soliciting states to send contributions.”

“No one likes seeing the fortress-like security around the Capitol. And no one wants to again have a security problem in and around this symbolic place,” Slotkin wrote on Twitter:

Slotkin added, “But whether an extension has been requested or the mission is indeed terminating on March 12, it’s critical that members of Congress get a briefing on what’s behind these decisions.”

The Pentagon as recently as Tuesday said it had no additional requests from law enforcement authorities for an extension of the National Guard’s mission to assist federal and local law enforcement, which was slated to end next week, on March 12.

However, Capitol Police said on Wednesday they have information regarding a possible plot by a militant group to breach the Capitol on Thursday.

The U.S. House of Representatives, in response to the possible event, canceled the remaining week’s agenda. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) wrapped up planned votes late Wednesday. Neither Pelosi’s website nor Twitter specifies if she left town for the weekend.

The Senate is still in session, however, attempting to pass coronavirus relief legislation.

I am predicting that within a year,there will be a Bill in Congress to create a "Capital Defense Force",with their own uniforms,military ranks and discipline,automatic weapons and grenade launchers,and armored cars with 50 caliber machine guns.

And like everything else the goobermint creates,they will never be going away,and will spend more time building their empire and getting budget increases than they spend on anything else.

I still think that by the time the dust settles,Capital Hill will have it's own dedicated military force,with their own uniforms,military assault rifles,armored cars with 50 cals as well as belt-fed tear gas dispensers,and maybe even their own court system to try and convict the people they arrest.

It will be like an army,but they will never leave Washington,DC unless they are escorting politicians and their families.

Their primary mission will be to protect politicians and their families Picture a "Secret Service in cammies instead of suits"

Hell,the DNC has already raised the walls for their fortress.

 They will PROBABLY come under the direct control of the Speaker of the House and the President,and not answer to anyone else,not even the regular court system.

Expect, the more the democrats make the capital a armed military bunker to feel safe from consequences of what they intend to do to us, the worse they will govern.  Remember this, i will refer back to it in the times ahead.
Some of you might want to recall, i pointed out that the democrats intend to reduce this Country to third world status.  It was so easy to point out, yet so few seemed to get it, back then.

When I was on the border a few yrs ago border officials told me they weren’t allowed to use concertina
 or barbed wire on fencing because it might hurt criminals climbing over. Meantime, at the US Capitol…
