Are you a resident of Sacramento, California and either ineligible for a vaccination or having trouble getting an appointment to do so? Have you considered trying to get arrested? That might be your golden ticket because the city has now moved to prioritize the more than three thousand inmates in the jail system to get their jabs immediately. The decision was made in response to prisoners’ rights advocates who apparently have the ear of the City Council. Of course, if you do go that route, you’ll be stuck in a dank cell, potentially with a violent criminal cellmate, but at least you won’t catch COVID!

Vaccinate the jail staff instead and problem solved! Jail inmates should not be vaccinated any earlier than law-abiding citizens of their age and health condition.

The protests against this are bullbush. The city has no choice but to vaccinate all the inmates because if they didn't it would spread like the plague in that closed environment,and the city would go bankrupt from all the lawsuits.

WE may not like it,but the cities ARE responsible for the safety and health of the people under their control,so they have no real choice in the matter.

WRONG! You will have inmates admitted today that seem to be perfectly healthy,who will start showing symptoms in a week or so,but have already infected the other inmates they have came into contact with by the time it starts to show.

Point well taken, @sneakypete. While, hypothetically, the jail could have isolation areas in which newcomers could be quarantined, the jail is probably at or near capacity. So a quarantine area would be unrealistic.
