Dr. Seuss has been cancelled. Some of his work has been deemed racist, and we can’t have that. On Tuesday, the entity that oversees the estate of Theodor Seuss Geisel announced it would no longer publish six of Geisel’s books because they “portray people in ways that are hurtful and wrong.”

Among the works now deemed unfit for children are Geisel’s first book under the pen name Dr. Seuss, “And to Think That I Saw It on Mulberry Street,” published in 1937, and the much-beloved, “If I Ran the Zoo,” published in 1950. The former depicts a “Chinaman” character and the latter shows two men from “the African island of Yerka” in native garb.

There’s not much point in quibbling over whether these and other such illustrations in the condemned Dr. Seuss books are in fact racist or bigoted, or whether Geisel held racist or xenophobic views. By all accounts he was a liberal-minded and tolerant man who hated Nazis and, as a political cartoonist, mocked the antisemitism that was all-too-common in America during World War II. ...

Racism is everywhere.

But nowhere is racism more blatant than in the books of well-known racist Dr. Seuss. His pages were literally dripping with racism, or maybe that was just the barbecue sauce for our chicken nuggies. Even so, barbecue sauce might be racist too, now that we think of it.

Take this Dr. Seuss page out of Oh, the Thinks You Can Think!. It looks harmless, yeah? Well, you're just showing your internalized racism, because there are literally 17 different examples of racism packed into this illustration. Come on a journey with us as we explore them all.




1. The giant orange beast is obviously a reference to Donald Trump. This glorifies white supremacy and Nazism, as Seuss was alluding to his allegiance to the bad orange man.

2. The pink boot squashing the poor little dude glorifies fascism. A little too obvious there, Fuhrer Seuss.

3. The text implies it's OK to go to the Right. Like, COME ON! In a children's book?

4. Zoom in on the tuba. Keep zooming. Keeeeep zooming: IT'S A TINY HITLER, OH MY GOODNESS! Hard to believe Seuss snuck this one past the editors.




5. The smoke coming from the machine glorifies the racist, classist hierarchies of capitalism that harm the environment and disproportionally people of color. And he made the smoke multiple colors -- just one more slap in the face to POCs.

6. The page is rectangular, encouraging readers to think inside the box of capitalist propaganda and not become woke to the struggle of the classes. Straight lines and boundaries are signs of non-wokeness. Plus, the shape is eerily similar to the shape of a Nazi flag!

7. These four men have Hitler mustaches. Seuss was brainwashing kids to worship Hitler! How can we have these books at schools?

It's not really allowed in public schools anymore.

I remember my Earth Science teacher taking a book from his desk and reading a passage, and then explaining how, with the right interpretation, the Book of Genesis conforms to modern theories of the earth's formation.

I can't see that happening today without some fascist Rodent pitching a bloody fit and cancelling the teacher.

The Rodents are undermining the foundations of American society, and they've truly breached the cofferdams, but they will continue to dig until every miniscule vestige of the great culture the Rodents despise has been erased from human memory.

It's not that they've run out of targets, it's that they've succeeded in bringing down the primary targets and are now working on secondary and tertiary opportunities.

Today's school kids never heard of Mark Twain...and they believe Thomas Jefferson's only imprint on history is his alleged flaming racism, etc.

They've destroyed math and science in the US, the next generation of high school graduates will be almost completely illiterate in mathematics...this started when the moronic teachers started letting the students use calculators for algebra problems.   They're functionally illiterate already.  Since they've already made Moby Dick inaccessible to them...how many of them think it's a porn novel...by the sheer fact that it's damn difficult to read, they're going to go after the easier targets.

Seuss is fun to read.   Reading can't be fun for small children, they might get the urge to turn off the drivel on TV and read something the Rodents don't approve of, like the Federalist Papers.

The Rodents will be chipping away until not even Ozymandias' skull is left.
