If the GOP planted a billion trees, I'm sure the Democrats would give each tree a name, an address and an absentee ballot.

Trees sequester carbon.   

So do new coral reefs.

Sequestered carbon reduces CO2 in the air, which would have the negligible effect of slightly reducing temperatures.

Better to ask which multinational corporation has bought the GOP to promote the bill and how they are going to make money off these new saps...saplings.
