Almost half of Republicans would join Trump party: poll
By Dominick Mastrangelo - 02/21/21 12:47 PM EST

Nearly half of Republicans say they would abandon the party as it is currently structured and join a new party if former President Trump was its leader, according to a new poll released Sunday.

A Suffolk University-USA Today poll found that 46 percent of Republicans said they would abandon the GOP and join the Trump party if the former president decided to create one. Only 27 percent said they would stay with the GOP, with the remainder indicating they would be undecided.

"We feel like Republicans don't fight enough for us, and we all see Donald Trump fighting for us as hard as he can, every single day," a Republican and small-business owner from Milwaukee told the newspaper. "But then you have establishment Republicans who just agree with establishment Democrats and everything, and they don't ever push back."

Trump has not indicated the details of his political future. But after his acquittal in his second impeachment trial, Trump issued a scathing rebuke of Republican leadership, specifically Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (Ky.)

Agree the R Party has needed transformation into Principle over the past century.
Yet Trump, as the agent of change, is bewildering, embarrassing and sad;
whose consequence will be remorse and tears.

a)  The Republican voters should not desert the party.   They should take their anger out on the incumbent POS's that continue to stab them in the back.

b) The Rodents want, more than anything in the world, for the GOP to fracture and go turd party.

Confound both the Rodents and the  RINO's by cleaning the GOP of the garbage and transforming it back into the party that saved the United States from the Democrats in 1860.

that's just because the people who dislike Trump are in the wrong party.

There's nothing wrong with President Trump.

He won re-election with 75 million Americans supporting him, more than any Republican ever.  And, unlike the Rodents, not one of those votes was forged...except for the millions the Rodents illegally switched to the Rodent Corpse.

the problems inside the GOP have nothing to do with one of the greatest presidents in history.

The problems inside the GOP lie in the extremely small minority who wanted Jeb! or some other RINO loser to be in his place.   Those people need to go to the party that wants them (there is no such party) or they need to grow up and help the team.  Their perpetual whining is a distraction, fleas on the lion.

One of the biggest problems with the GOP (GOPe) is leadership and has been for quite a few election cycles. They are part of the ever growing DC country club and nothing is going to change until we see a leadership change to conservative leadership.  With the DEMS in control, I don't see that happening.

There's nothing wrong with Trump other than he's 74 and is no longer president.  Those thinking that he's going to run in 4 years  IMHO are dreaming. Those that think that he could win are also dreaming; what changes are being implemented to insure that we see a fair election in '24 or even '22??

Trump is still president.

He won the election.

We're witnessing the first successful coup in US history.

As for the GOP leadership, it's not Trump's job to replace them.  That's OUR job.  What needs to happen is for the President to identify our enemies and point us at the targets.  We then take them out of office in the primary elections, or, if that fails, we actually vote for Rodents to ensure the RINO enemies are not returned to the levers of power in DC, in the state capitols, and in our local elections.

The enemy has declared war on us, we need to fight this war like it's a war, not a game.  And the first objective in this war is the elimination of the enemy in our own ranks.

Regardless if he won the election or not, the reality is Biden is seated in the WH with a full DEM majority.

Our job to replace McConnell?  Exactly how do you figure that's going to happen unless people get up off their butts and call their senators and DEMAND that they input someone conservative.  Even at that -- the DEMS control and we have lots of RINO's.

Another reality:  The ballot box is broken. How do you think that it going to be fixed and we will get a fair election with the DEMS in control and Ronna  (Romney's niece) in charge of the RNC again??

I'm pretty sure the vast majority knows our enemies -- the DC swamp runs very deep.  We have no functioning DOJ or SCOTUS with integrity.

Again, thinking that the ballot box is a viable option is not being realistic.  They've stolen elections for years and this time they stole the presidency.  We're not going to just magically vote them out -- that b.s. has been echoing for many election cycles and the same RINO's keep getting voted in.  Why do you think that is?   A) Voting for the lesser of the two evils  B) Rigged elections
or C) Both

That senile old fool is illegally seated.

Americans need to remember that fact for the rest of their lives.

Why do RINOs keep getting elected?

Because they used to buy into the "lesser of two evils" crappola.

I suspect that myth is now dead.  The Americans are PISSED, and they're pissed at the RINO's.  The proper campaign will eliminate that scourge.

Ok.  The ballot box is broken; there is no integrity left to our electoral process and the DEMS have vowed to stack the SCOTUS with liberals, change the electoral college and grant amnesty to millions (potential DEM votes).  So, how is it that you think that a proper GOP campaign is going to win? Yes, Americans are pizzed at the RINO's. That's the obvious. They've been pizzed before. Who is going to replace the RINO's, especially with Mitch doing everything that he can to ensure that RINO incumbents keep their seats and the NRSC is right along their with him? That is why I keep stating that realistically with Mitch as leader nothing will change --- that's just part of the problem.

As for the lesser of the two evils -- well  --- IF conservatives were actually running against the RINO's and winning primaries, it would be a different ballgame.  But that's not what continues to happen.

Also, with the granting of amnesty to millions, mathematically it will be impossible for a GOP to be seated; even with a fair election.

Suggest you slow down a moment, put your brain in gear while making sense,
rather than  continuously running off at the mouth.
The Southern Agrarian/Rural Democrats were our founding party along w/the Federalists.
Those early Democrats included Presidents Jefferson, Madison, Monroe, among our
Founding Fathers; as well as many others.
Sadly that party was destroyed by the Civil War and slavery.
The R Party didn't exist till 1856 when Fremont of California ran for Potus.
From Lincoln in 1860 till Hoover in 1928, some 70 years, the R's were ascendant and established the governance we have at this time. Reality.
