In a video message broadcast by CNN, Democrat Joe Biden put the lie to his widely-reported intent to preach unity during his inaugural address to what essentially will be a capital city occupied by some 22,000 National Guard troops by basically declaring war on about 100 million of his constituents.

“My first day in office,” he declares in the video, “I’m going to send a bill to Congress repealing the liability protection for gun manufacturers, closing the background check loopholes and waiting period that now let too many people slip through the cracks.”

The Guardian is reporting that Biden “ran as a rebuke to the divisiveness and cynicism of Trumpism, promising to ‘restore the soul of the nation’ and serve as a president for ‘all Americans.’” The story quotes former Democratic presidential candidate Andrew Yang observing “that everything he does becomes the new reasonable.”

But just how “reasonable” is Biden’s widely-read plan to “end our gun violence epidemic” if it promises to pressure state governments to require licensing of private citizens before they can purchase a firearm?

Where does it say in the Constitution, and specifically in the Bill of Rights, that the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed…provided you get a license from the state to exercise that right?

“Unity” President Vows to “Defeat” America’s Oldest and Largest Civil Rights Group

Joe Biden wants Americans to believe that he will focus on what he calls “the renewal of a politics that’s about solving problems – not stoking the flames of hate and chaos.”

Yet what “problem” is Biden promising to “solve” before he even takes office? Why the “defeat” of the National Rifle Association, a group of over 5 million Americans of all different backgrounds from all different walks of life united in their commitment to the nation’s constitutional freedoms.

Biden issued this “pledge” in a January 8 tweet that falsely tried to suggest the men and women of the NRA were somehow implicated in an infamous crime that was committed a decade ago by a manifestly deranged individual with no clear motivation or political agenda.

Defaming one’s political opponents – and by extension, their supporters – is hardly unheard of in Washington, D.C. But doing so while claiming the mantle of a “unifier” is especially hypocritical, particularly at a time when the nation has real problems to solve, including the economic, psychological, and physical threats posed by the ongoing coronavirus outbreak.

Hey Joe, you don't prevent the "stoking of hate a chaos" by going after the Second Amendment.
The libs/dems of today are the Quislings of former years. The cowards who would vote a fraud into office in exchange for handouts from the devil.

We need to keep saying over and over, very loudly, that every single gun control measure is racist, sexist, and ageist. It will take a long time to educate the masses. but we can't stop fighting.

Actually, gun restrictions will target the black community

...Too often ignored in the popular debate is the relationship between stricter gun laws and structural, institutional racism. Advocates of gun control are guilty of abstracting the policy itself from the people and institutions that will ultimately enforce it.

This points to a more general problem with mainstream progressivism: it refuses to grapple in any serious way with institutions and incentives. Instead it simply assumes that every problem has government solution that can be easily applied. Also, it presumes that government agencies such as, regulatory agencies, police departments, and courts, are staffed with benevolent guardians who will apply the solution exactly as its advocates intend....
