No committee vote. No discussion. No discussion of rules. No allowance for defense witnesses or rebuttals. No open debate on the House floor. No observance of long-standing House rules. Just a quick show trial before the execution.

For those of a radical Utopian temperament, consumed as they always are by irrational hatred and informed only by a perfect self-regard, it is never enough to simply overthrow the King.
They are always -
always impelled to destroy the lives of all followers and courtesans, to burn their fields, and sow their Earth with salt so that nothing will ever grow there again.
It was not enough for the Bolsheviks to apprehend the Czar and his family while taking power. They had to herd them all into a dank basement and shoot them dead, even before Stalin starved millions of land-owners who did not appreciate their farms being collectivized in the name of social progress. It was not enough for Robespierre and the
sans-culottes to simply declare a revolutionary Republic and a new beginning for humanity. No, they had to roll out the guillotines, which began, but hardly ended with removing the heads of royalty.
The Left is unchanging. They will not be satisfied with a mere political victory when so many stand in the way of what they truly desire: the complete and total power to remake human beings, or else destroy them for their failure to live up to the inhumanly impossible.
In our time: if you disagree with the Left, which now controls our government, social and media institutions and many of our private corporations - prepare to be shunned. De-platformed. Silenced. Ostracized. Shut out. Cut off. De-financed. Disarmed. Ruined.
If you do not like that future, then you have a choice: either shut up, disengage your brain, abandon your free will and go along.... or else: fight for your rights as a human.
There is no other choice.
