Who wants Trump to concede?

Who wants Trump to concede?
By Silvio Canto, Jr.
The White House got some news about its challenge to the election results.

Let's look at this Politico post:

Quote
A plurality of voters believe President Donald Trump should immediately admit defeat to President-elect Joe Biden, according to a new POLITICO/Morning Consult poll, while just under half of Republican respondents said Trump should concede the 2020 election if he cannot eventually produce evidence to support his baseless claims of widespread voter fraud.

The poll, published Tuesday, reports that 46 percent of registered voters think Trump should concede to Biden “right away.”

That total includes 72 percent of Democrats surveyed, 43 percent of independents surveyed and 17 percent of Republicans surveyed.

Check out the independents.  It sounds to me like a majority are not calling for an immediate concession.

My "own unofficial unscientific poll" suggests that a lot of my contacts are not content that so things about this election are not explained.

I hope he never concedes.
NEED the entertainment. NEED the hilarity.
NEED to see Trump rule the GOP in abstentia from Mar-a-lago. NEED to see him play Kingmaker and make GOPers grovel.
NEED to watch the senators and governors get tired of having to kiss his burly rear and try to "pushback."
NEED to see Trump stomp the d---s in the dirt of all who dare to defy.
Pence, Sasse, Pompeo, Cotton, Cruz, Haley, Rubes et al? You thought it was your turn in 2024?
"lol." You all are mere foot soldiers in the Trump gang...for life.
Owned.
[And Mitch, you'd better not get cute either]
Tired of winning.

'Fraid not. Trump'll be banned from the networks. Comcast will cut off his internet. IRS agents & ANTIFA will surround his estate in perpetuity and he'll be forced to languish at Mar a Lago forever under an endless COVID quarantine.

The rats, now a permanently 'elected' majority, will demand fealty from the dwindling numbers of elected republicans, or face being mail-in balloted out of office. Mitch will crawl, not to Florida for sanction but to Nancy's Napa compound to beg for gourmet ice cream. Individual Republicans will be hunted in the streets and driven underground in key states by professional college students and newly minted American citizens which will result from Biden's removal of Trump's Big Beautiful Wall.

Its a brand new world out there.

What's at stake now is the Georgia runoffs.    The ability to contain the prog agenda is what matters.    Trump's becoming a distraction,  if not a turnoff for those we need to persuade to get past this last, crucial hurdle.   Where is Trump's loyalty to the party?

I wish I could say you know if GA doesn't get their little red wagons fixed, we'll lose both those seats.  But you have consistently ignored multiple Members telling you this, and swearing the state with a now-known propensity for cheating will somehow produce an honest election 1/5/21.  It's Magic.

He has confidence the GOP will prevail in GA in the runoffs, as he is confident their currently ongoing recount will yield honest results. Its all good as long as Trump goes home.

You misunderstand.  I don't want Trump to "go home".   I think he should run again in 2024.   But the reality is that he lost,  and no one likes a sore loser.   He is crippling both his and his party's future by railing against that reality.

A reflection.
Trump has been a bs buffoon since birth and instantly forgotten by normal plain people. More importantly, Republicans are strongly favored to win both Georgia runoffs, giving
them +4 in the Senate.
Also they are creeping ever closer to the D's in the House as the 2020 recounts finish.
Add to that the pending national re-drawing of House Districts for 2022, based on the Census, and the possibility of Republican control of Congress is certainly attainable.

Yes indeed.   There is great cause for optimism.  It is time for Trump to begin to cooperate on the transition,  even as he caters to the bitter- enders by throwing money at lawyers.

Actually, it is time for Biden to bag it and crawl/slither back to his basement.

Gore challenged the 2000 election for 37 days.  why shouldn't DJT be given the same courtesy?

You misunderstand. People love Trump because he refuses to roll over. Going the entire nine yards here will endear him to patriotic Americans for as long as this republic exists & insure his place in the halls of Valhalla, where establishment republican poltroons will beg for a chance to touch his august toes.

I agree, and Gore did this over just a few counties in Florida.

The GOP has been feckless for decades.  Al Franken's 2008 election for prelude to this, except this is on much grander scale.  Delay and obfusicate until you can find enough votes to win. And at this moment, the same tactic is being planned for the two GA senatorial seats.

Until this Rebulican Party starts tossing away the knife at the electorak gun fight.  They are going to lose a lot close races.

Always too cute by half.  You are prevaricating when you say you want Trump in 2024.  Put less delicately, that is a gold-plated lie, and you're a bigger fool than I thought if you think anybody here believes you.

Yes, and it is beyond out of touch to believe Trump’s popularity will suffer by his standing up to this corrupt system.

There is no way he is going to overturn the results in at least three states.   There is far more to be gained by cooperating with the new President than by whining and railing and pursuing futile challenges.   Even if won't finally concede until the Electors meet in December,  at least cooperate with the transition.   Especially if we are attacked like we were on 9/11,  there is nothing good that can come of a charge from Biden that he wasn't prepared because Trump acted like a dick and wouldn't share intelligence information.

I think if he plays his cards right he can win in 2024.   But not if he burns his bridges.
