Stephen Colbert goes into 'meltdown' and smashes a champagne bottle while threatening to 'cut anyone who comes near him' over Trump's refusal to concede the election - a day after the host toasted Biden's win

Stephen Colbert on Tuesday smashed a champagne bottle and threatened to 'cut anyone who comes near him' over Donald Trump's refusal to concede the presidency. 

During Tuesday night's The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, the host took aim at the president, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and Attorney General Bill Barr regarding their comments on voter fraud.

On Monday the 56-year-old had toasted Joe Biden's win during his first show since his victory was announced with a glass of champagne for him and his wife, Evie McGee-Colbert.

But by Tuesday Colbert was telling viewers: 'Yesterday, I was pouring champagne to toast the administration, and today I will cut you if you come near me, because there's some crazy s*** going on out there.'

His reaction sparked one Twitter user, CrazyTimes, to comment: 'The meltdown has begun.' Another, Susan Gaughan, added: 'You are seriously NOT funny anymore...so sad.

Well if he wanted it to be convincing he would of used a real bottle with contents. Even comedy has gone fake now days.

Am I the only one wondering who "missy-man" got to break the champagne bottle for him?

The only people afraid of him are the ones on his staff who fear he will fire them if they don't act scared.

Just look at the desperation that literally shouts "I am TOO manly,and you had better fear me!" as he poses with a bottle he probable had someone break for him so he wouldn't get injured by flying glass shards.

I read Colbert as reinforcing the essential nature of the true threat that influenced the outcome of this election:  that if Trump had won there would have been violence and destruction in the streets.    I think the difference between GOP voter support and Trump voter support can be largely  explained by a lot of Americans in a very difficult year just being unready to face that threat of chaos.   

The Dems won this election not through fraud but intimidation.

WRONG.  DEMON-RATS WON NOTHING!  ALL VOTER FRAUD.  HAVEN'T YOU BEEN READING?    Since when Have demon-rats won anything fair & square?  NEVER.  They have done this for decades.  In Nevada about 2011, we had articles about our votes being switched from REPUBLICAN to demon-rat side.  SAME MACHINES using DOMINION SOFTWARE and owned by Harry Reid =DEMON-RAT and his son Rory.  However, yes intimidation is just ANOTHER method.  CASINOS would ferret their workers on buses and tell them to vote DEMON-RAT.  CULINARY UNIONS.  Guess, what if you didn't, no JOB.

Oh, FFS. Depending on where you live, there was already violence in the streets. We know who controls that, because they wouldn't do anything to stop it. Never negotiate with terrorists, and the Right, with the exception of a few folks, has not yet begun to fight. The solution for the left is to threaten or engage in violence, always, if they don't get their way.

I think I speak for a multitude when I say if that's what they want, they'd better be careful what they wish for.
I think Trump had far more support (and votes) than the reported numbers reflect, and Biden far less.
