Dad of Philly man shot by police condemns rioters: ‘They’re making it look like we’re animals and we’re not’

The father of a 27-year-old knife-wielding Philadelphia man shot by police as he charged them on Monday ripped people who have rioted and looted businesses in the days since, saying they disrespect his son and the city by doing so.

The unrest erupted after two Philadelphia police officers shot and killed Walter Wallace earlier this week, resulting in scores of businesses being robbed, automobiles and buildings torched, and more than 30 officers injured in clashes with rioters.

On Tuesday, Walter Wallace Sr., his family, and their lawyer Shaka Johnson held a brief press conference in which he appealed for calm.

“Have some respect for my family and my son and stop this violence and chaos that’s going on in this city,” Wallace said.

On another conservative website in the comments sections of an article about the idiot killed in Philly by the police one commenter suggested that the police just use their shields to try to subdue maniacs with knives.
 I asked this person if they were being sarcastic, but I think they were serious. That's how deluded many people are about trying to arrest dangerous people armed with knives.

Somewhere on YouTUbe there is a video of a martial artist by the name of Billy Bryant. It shows him cutting (simulated) a man 19 times in less than 30 seconds. Yes he is a trained martial artist, but when some of these folks get hoped up on self medication or adrenaline, the only thing that will stop them is a automobile, or a bullet to the chest.

The father is right.  They are animals.  Police should have a green light to shoot EVERY looter on sight.  That nonsense would end real quick.

The police had every right to defend themselves.

It does not matter his son was a mental case.  He was on the street, wielding a knife.  And Biden's idiocy of taking a psychologist on calls, by all means, spend more taxpayer money keeping the peace with psychologists answering domestic disturbance calls, etc.  And when they get shot and stabbed to death repeatedly, that will end that nonsense.
