Manuel Margot: swinging strike, off-speed pitch; swinging strike, Arozarena takes off, the throw to second bounces up and not in time and he steals the base---the Dodgers ask for a challenge, did Hernandez get a tag on Arozarena's outer thigh . . . the Dodgers leave the field after seeing the video board, the call is overturned and Arozarena caught stealing for the side.

1-0 Dodgers after one.

Top of the fifth.

DODGERS

Pete Fairbanks relieved Ryan Thompson, p, Rays. Mookie Betts: swinging strike one; fouls one off; swinging strikeout, just blew him away.

Corey Seager: lines the first pitch to right center, base hit.

Justin Turner: slider blocked by Zunino, it bounces away from him he can't find it, it rolled up the third base line, Seager takes second on the wild pitch; check swing, ball two high; ball three, fastball low; both bullpens quiet; popped it up, lazy fly to right, Renfroe catches it, two away. Turner looked like a seven year old who doesn't want to go to bed yet.

Max Muncy: the Rays shift him to the right: slider, called strike; strike called, another breaking ball; check swing, ball one in the dirt; lined to right for a base hit, Renfroe has it on the bounce, Seager around third, the throw won't get him, but they throw to second and Muncy overslides and lands atop Adames who has the ball in his glove and his arms around Muncy for the out! Only the Rays can pull a play like that? 3-1 Dodgers, mid-fifth.

A.J. Pollock: throw to first, Smith dives back safely; ball one, slider down and away; ball two inside, Castillo struggling with command; ball three, slider misses outside; ball four fastball runs inside, two on and one out. Geezus.... what the hell ever happened to the 1-2-3 inning, Tampa??

Pathetic, for such a renowned scary good bullpen.

There IS a God!

Tampa Bay wins in the bottom of the ninth, despite the HP umpire calling TWO pitches off the plate as strikes.

Like they say...tune in because you may see something that you've never seen before.

Great Game!

Joey Wendle: ball one low; fouls one off; ball two high; line drive left center, Pederson going back makes a running catch, the Rays down to their final out but look who's coming up.
Dodger PC Mark Prior visits Jansen on the mound.

Randy Arozarena: called strike around the middle; ball one down and away, blocked by Smith behind the plate; throw to first Kiermaier back safe; popped up foul out of play in the seats; checked swing, ball two just a couple of inches outside; ball three way outside with a cutter; chopper toward third going foul before Turner can get to it; ball four in the dirt!!

Bratt Phillips: ball one missing the inside corner; called strike catching the inside corner; second called strike hits the outside corner; lined into right center . . . I can't find the words yet for what happened but watch what happens when Phillips lines it to right center . . .

Two Dodger errors on one base hit and the Rays win it, 8-7, in the bottom of the ninth!
