The Senate Judiciary Committee approved Judge Amy Coney Barrett's nomination to the Supreme Court on Thursday morning, on party lines. Democrats on the committee boycotted the vote and their elected duties, but could not prevent Judge Barrett from being confirmed by the committee. The stunt pulled by the committee's Democratic members allowed Judge Barrett's to be approved unanimously.

Now it only takes 50 Senators (+VP) to confirm Barrett instead of 51.

There's no news here.
It's been known since RBG died that Murkowski wouldn't support any Trump pick before the election.

Don't expect an "aye" from Collins of Maine, either.

And if Romney goes south on us, then it's 50 votes plus Mike Pence to break the tie.

Don't know why she would vote against a highly qualified candidate.

If there was an issue, it would be in the timing and procedure....none of which get in the way.

It's unfortunate that we elect individuals who don't understand why things are the way they are.
