Prominent Republican pollster Frank Luntz blasted President Trump and his campaign on Tuesday for focusing on Hunter Biden in the stretch run to Election Day, calling Trump’s campaign the worst he’s ever seen and saying the president’s advisers should be “brought up on charges of political malpractice.”

Speaking at a briefing for the British strategic advising company Global Counsel, Luntz said Trump’s advisers have “their heads up their asses” if they think Hunter Biden will be a winning issue for them.

“I’ve never seen a campaign more mis-calibrated than the Trump campaign. Frankly, his staff ought to be brought up on charges of political malpractice,” Luntz said.


“It is the worst campaign I’ve ever seen and I’ve been watching them since 1980. They’re on the wrong issues. They’re on the wrong message. They’ve got their heads up their assess. … Your damn job is to get your candidate to talk about things that are relevant to the people you need to reach. And if you can’t do your damn job then get out.”

After almost 15 years running campaigns, I can tell you that having the most organized campaign doesn't mean you win.

There is no particular rule for winning, except maybe for high and favorable name recognition, enough to convince >50% to vote for you.

Everything after that is negotiable.

90% agree, but I do have some faith in Rasmussen.  I think they are at least are the best at trying to be objective.  They show Trump down significantly, but am anxious to see their last poll before the election. 

I honestly think we are behind, but it is closer than the pollsters are letting on.

I'm not sure he's behind, and here's why.  You and I think a "likely voter" is one who's motivated to vote in the election, but the pollsters define it "someone who's voted in the past 4 elections."

Trump has a whole lot of voters who just registered for the first time, or are registered but haven't voted in years.  This is the "hidden electorate."  The polls, in addition to the flaws that make them appear pro-Biteme like oversampling Dems, are not capturing these numbers.

How Trumps opponents love to demand what he can and can't do.  As they advise against Hunter Biden, then that's exactly an issue President Trump should maximize to best benefit.  When leftist tell you you dare not do it, they are actually telling you this can be used to best benefit you.
