Donald Trump in Georgia: ‘Lock Up the Bidens’

Joel B. Pollak 17 Oct 2020

President Donald Trump told a rally crowd in Macon, Georgia, on Friday: “Lock up the Bidens.”

Trump was referring to reports that then-Vice President Joe Biden, his Democratic opponent, met with Chinese and Ukrainian business figures allegedly paying his son, Hunter Biden, to facilitate introductions to senior U.S. officials.

Trump appeared to be joking:

Quote
Trump: But they thought it was very unfair that Sleepy Joe who cannot answer a question… He really can’t answer a question. Well, Chris Wallace protected him with me. I talked about the Moscow three-and-a-half million payment. I talked about the billion dollars [from China]. Chris Wallace wouldn’t let that… He said, no, that’s not appropriate. Why? You mean the guy’s allowed to take three and a half a million bucks and we’re not allowed to talk to him about it? I’m telling you, that Biden family… And others, but that Biden family is corrupt. It’s a corrupt family.

    Crowd: Lock them up!

Trump: And with me and my kids… Let me tell you, my kids… I’ll tell you something. [Laughs] Lock them up. You should lock them up. Lock up the Bidens. Lock up Hillary. Lock them up. Can you imagine if my kids did what this guy Hunter is doing?

Yeah... not a really good idea, Donald.   Considering that you used that same BS already and look what you did with it.   You said Hillary had been punished enough.

Will this latest attempt to 'gin up' support be a replay of that same let-down?   You're either for upholding the damned rule of law or you are not.   Which is it?

Your supporters are not seeking another such broken promise (some call it a lie).   You promised to clean out the swamp.   The Bidens are just as guilty as Hillary was.   Do your damned job.

Agreed...although it is the job of Trump's AG to drain the swamp. He should have fired him a long time ago as he has done absolutely nothing; he's a swamp creature just like Sessions.

Barr is part of the swamp.  He will not be draining anything but his main vein.

Trump has been alone largely in Washington.  The Senate has approved judges, and that is about it for cooperation from the legislative branch of government.  Should the Dems keep the majority in the House, we will see four more years of the same.  The Dems will NOT become more cooperative.

Mike Pence made a brilliant speech in Pennsylvania.  He sounded great.  He is on the Trump team, but not many others are.  Shame really, because I do think Trump could do great things with support from Congress.

Our first clue would have been the fact that Mueller and Barr's wives are Bible Study friends.  If that isn't a conflict of interest, it should be.   Barr was never going to do anything to bring Mueller to justice for his part in the sham impeachment BS.

What continues to be troubling (at least for me) is the fact that Trump keeps appointing worthless  AG's.  Why?  Why has he kept him?  Trump certainly by now must realize that Barr has done nothing ... so .... again ....a big fat WHY?

Looking back .... another big fat WHY -- Trump appointed Rosenstein -- Rosenstein worked under both Clinton and Bammy -- so again .... why in the heck would he appoint him???? Sessions was another very poor choice.  WHY did he appoint him??

Trump's selection of worthless AG's I find extremely troubling and why I have never been able to throw my full support towards him.

To boot ... Rosenstein's sister is head of the CDC infectious diseases ... now that doesn't exactly make me feel all warm and fuzzy either.

So .... just like I voted against Hillary, I'll vote against Biden.  No other choice.  Trump has done some good ... but he's got some 'splainin' to do in my books.

Yeah.   Even though we really have 'no other choice' in this election (as usual).... there is still that niggling, bothersome doubt in the back of my mind due to all you mentioned and then some.  It's the "Why/WTH" factor.   So I get what you're thinking.

I think the swamp has control,  even of Trump's Administration.  Trump has succumbed to their power.  I think it is obvious all along.  He is out there all alone fighting these b*st*rds, and I am sure they threatened him with his family, and he has gone silent with the exception of a couple issues.

The military industrial complex controls this country.  They did in 1963 when they arranged for JFK's assassination, and they would gladly do it again if Trump got in the way.  So, he has minded the masters as much as he can.
