It's bullshit.  What concerns me is too few Americans --- and Europeans ---- realize this.

Help with what? @libertybele  It's a damn virus.  We either build herd immunity or we live this way for the rest of our lives.

We've a much better understanding of how the virus works, have developed new therapeutics to treat the disease (Exhibit A:  The viral load was erased in three days in a 74 year old man) and vaccines are nearly ready for distribution (yes, to those who want them).  The Trump administration has just made a deal for distribution of the vaccine to seniors through CVS and Walgreens.

My point is:  The most vulnerable may need to exercise some caution .... as they do during the seasonal flu season .... but everyone else needs to drop the fear and fully live again.   

I would add that the most vulnerable can get back to a normal life the sooner the rest of us develop herd immunity. Herd immunity is going to happen one way or another. Sooner is better than later. The only attempts to slow it down should have been based on keeping the local healthcare resources from being overloaded. And that should have been done on a local level, not a one size fits all policy.

IMHO the CDC cannot be trusted and they tend to change their minds on COVID when it's advantageous for them.

I have no doubt that a simple cloth or disposable mask doesn't do a whole lot of good if not everyone complies.

If a fart can go through sturdy cotton underwear and thick denim jeans and still come about robust and intact, then how is a double sheet of cotton paper over my mouth supposed to 'protect' me from anything microscopic?

Those masks that everyone is wearing are intended to prevent spittle and gross material from the mouth. They are not now, and never have been, designed to prevent an airborne virus. It is all nonsense. And even if you had a 'real' mask to prevent a virus, you would be required to change it out to a new one every few hours. That is how 'real' professional virologists work.

A mask is not a 'magic talisman' from the Gods. It does not keep you safe from anything other than being spit on. And even that depends on the IQ of the person wearing it. If they pull it off whenever they speak, cough, or sneeze, then nothing, nothing whatsoever, is accomplished. It is all nonsense. It is a 'population control' political tactic. I consider my mask, like DUMBO'S FEATHER.  I don't really wear the mask.  I put it under my chin, so my mouth and nose can get oxygen.  As long as people, see, a mask they are happy.  Otherwise, most are upset.  A few control freak MALES,  will tell me to pull my mask over my face.  I walk away.  I didn't wear one, because my oxygen runs low, and confirmed in hospital stay in JULY 2020, that I need oxygen.  So, to keep others happy, I put in under my chin.  PEOPLE  ARE NUTS.

I went to dentist for cleaning.  A woman sat next to me in a black mask. We talked about mask wearing. SHE WAS A LEFT.
I talked some more about, me thinking , I had covid twice. Early in FEB, & last week in March.  We are in October.  She actually leaned away from me a bit!  I wanted to slap her.  People used to think cancer was contagious too.  She was about 80, or just looked it. Like she is going to live forever?  She can AVOID a microscopic virus?

Hindsight: Trump should have issued a national 'mask mandate' in March.
The Democrats would have gone insane AGAINST it, and we wouldn't have the marching 'mask fascism' that we see today.
Fauci and the CDC want to keep this going for as long as possible because of funding, influence, and power.
The Democrats/Leftists are talking about masks and 'lockdowns' for the next five years, for the power and control.
COVID has a recovery rate of 99%. It is far from the 'deadly disease' that we are being force fed.
If you are two-steps away from death already and catch COVID, you will have a problem.
But for 99% of the population, it is nothing more than a cold.
We should shutdown the entire country to protect less than 1% of the people?
