Democrats launch investigation into Trump's Walter Reed 'joyride'

House Democrats are launching an investigation into President Trump’s treatment of the Secret Service during his bout with the coronavirus.

Homeland Security Committee Chairman Bennie Thompson, a Mississippi Democrat, accused Trump of disregarding the safety of his protective detail when he left Walter Reed National Military Medical Center for a short drive in his limousine to greet supporters who were outside the facility.

Thompson called Trump’s Sunday night trip a “joyride” that risked the health and safety of the agents who had to accompany him on the trip.

“So we can know more about how these events have affected the Secret Service and national security, I have requested a briefing from the agency on the current safeguards in place for their employees — including on the President’s protective detail — and how Secret Service agents can be kept safe from coronavirus-related threats, including apparently the President himself,” Thompson said in a statement.

Trump tweeted that the trip was deemed safe by medical staff at the hospital. An attending physician also accompanied Trump on the drive and wore a mask and other protective equipment.

Trump also wore a mask.

Trump announced on Twitter Monday afternoon that he will be discharged from the hospital and will return to the White House at 6:30 p.m.

Will they also be launching an investigation into the President's joyride in Marine One and his ride in the beast to and from the helicopter?  How about investigating the marines opening the helicopter door and saluting the President upon his entering and exiting the aircraft ..... and for God's sake let's not forget about the agents who opened and closed the car doors?

And what about an investigation into the secret service agents who guarded the President during his stay at Walter Reed and guard him still?

And will Nancy conduct this investigation in person or via Zoom?  Will she coordinate this decision with Schumcky and the Senate Judiciary Committee?

Come on, Nancy.  Get your act together.  This ain't your first rodeo.

Might be a better idea to investigate the Biden's, or better yet try and come up with some ay to get some relief tot he small businesses they are screwing over.

Good thing to know that Trump has made the nation so stable that Congress has nothing more important to do than monitor Trumps limo rides in the WH limo.

Congressional Democrats demanded and got commercial airliners at massive expense to tax payers to fly back and forth across the United States for the flimsiest of excuses and massive costs.  Democrats have the nerve to question the President of the United States?  I guess Democrats insisting slick willy and Obama as messiahs entitled them to perks Republicans are not entitled to, eh?
