New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D) threatened to close synagogues on Monday if Orthodox Jews did not obey social distancing rules to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

Cuomo was discussing the difficulty of enforcing coronavirus rules: “I have to say to the Orthodox community tomorrow, ‘If you’re not willing to live with these rules, then I’m going to close the synagogues.'”

What evidence does Cuomo have that Covid-19 is being transmitted in synagogues? If the synagogue rates is equal or less than at some sort of facility that is allowed to be more open then the synagogues need to sue Cuomo. It's pathetic that they have to go that route, but often it takes a rap on the snout to teach a bully anything.

(JTA) – Protests by Orthodox Jews against New York’s crackdown on gatherings in their neighborhoods turned tense Tuesday night as throngs of young men demonstrated in the streets of Borough Park, setting fire to a pile of masks and at one point running a reporter out of the area.

The late-night protest in a heavily Orthodox area of Brooklyn took aim at new restrictions that would close schools, limit attendance at synagogues services and close nonessential businesses in areas with upticks in COVID-19.

The protests — as well as angry statements from leaders in the Orthodox community — gave voice to frustration felt by local Orthodox Jews who are now at the center of the first widespread resurgence of COVID in New York since the spring. Many in the community believe that city and state officials are unfairly targeting Orthodox Jews, who are already vulnerable to anti-Semitism, in their pandemic response.

During the protests, community leaders vowed to resist the new rules through litigation and civil disobedience. “We will not close,” radio host and local celebrity Heshy Tischler proclaimed to cheers from the assembled crowds.  .  .  .

Trotsky was directly responsible for ordering much of the extermination

He shouldn’t close ALL the synagogues because of the bad behavior of one or two groups. And he shouldn’t close them. Just limit the amount of people inside and have the rest pray via Zoom. The problem is getting certain Rabbis to back this. Once you do, you’re golden.

We all prayed via Zoom during the High Holy Days. It worked fine. And a bonus, no lines for the ladies room during the breaks.

Just wondering about the current assault on the Michigan militia group, Wolverine Watchmen (website currently down), which proves that these militia groups are being spied on constantly, obviously.   I wonder if it's just another setup and example of false charges being made against the radical left's opposition.... as they are facing multiple charges including plot to kidnap Heir Gretchen.  Website's back up (too many folks trying to view it)....

Note that some of the people in MI were charged at the State Level, some Federally, and my bet is that the State infiltrators were picked up by the State LEOs and the Federal infiltrators by the Federal LEOs, and the question is how many other people were left?

Yeah, it was a setup ... supposed to be used by the left in MI.   One problem is... the main guy arrested is a Trump hater....so blaming it on Trump falls flat.  Also, blaming it on "right-wing" extremisits doesn't work either... since they were also going to target LEOs, which the right doesn't do.  That always comes from the radical left.   It was intended as another arrow they could use against Trump, I believe.   A very crooked arrow.

Much like the fake hate crime hoaxes that the Smollett-idiots are pulling... makes one wonder.  Since they're having to create crimes to blame on the right now.... is there no other real and legitimate crime going on that they could occupy themselves with?  Or are they just not interested in going after real criminals (Read: leftists) any more.
