The 78 year old Savage told listeners to his podcast today, “Come January, you’re only going to hear me on my podcast. You will not hear me on this radio station anymore as of January.” He later added, ““I cannot give you the reasons. I am constrained for legal reasons. You will no longer hear Michael Savage on radio anywhere in America.”

Savage was never my cup of tea, but he was a substantial name in talk radio.

No great loss to conservative broadcast radio. His opinions were uh, unpredictable and sometimes screwy. I liked him during the Clinton impeachment years, though.

Maybe my memory is fading a tad, but I seem to remember several years ago, he quiped about a couple of things that just rubbed me the wrong way.  Can't remember the specifics, but  I know I quit listening.

I did stop listening to him a few years back as well, but 78 is a good time to retire and enjoy his grandchildren.

I guess podcasts and writing his novels are less taxing and he can walk his beloved dog more.
