Romney slams Burisma, Hunter Biden probe as 'political exercise'
« on: September 16, 2020, 11:02:49 pm »

GOP Sen. Mitt Romney on Wednesday slammed the Senate Homeland Security Committee’s investigation into Hunter Biden’s role on the board of Ukrainian natural gas firm Burisma Holdings, saying it is “not the legitimate role of government” to work to “damage political opponents.”

During a committee meeting Wednesday, members voted to authorize a slew of subpoenas for testimony and records from former Obama administration officials, including former CIA Director John Brennan, former FBI Director James Comey, former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, as part of its investigation into the origins of the Russia probe.

If Romney is 'slamming' the investigation -- there must be plenty to hide!
Romans 12:16-21

Live in harmony with one another; do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly, do not claim to be wiser than you are.  Do not repay anyone evil for evil, but take thought for what is noble in the sight of all.  If it is possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all…do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

What office does Hunter possess which qualified this statement?

Romney is as corrupt as can be, and we certainly dodged a major bullet when the imbecile lost to the easiest sitting President beatable since Jimmy Carter.

:yowsa: And Romney's own involvement in the Burisma scandal is chief among the things to hide as far as he's concerned.

I think he is one of the best arguments for the existence of the "Deep State".
He signed off on Obamacare V1.0 in Mass. as governor, and gay marriage, iirc.
He is not a 'westerner' in appearance or actions, and seems to claim Utah only as a means to stay in the game (which he did, playing the native son gig to get elected, even though he'd been governor of a Northeastern State).

IMHO, both he and McCain acted more like "Easterners" than "Westerners", which folks who have lived in both parts of the US may understand.

Exactly right and his BAIN Capital Group. Mittens and a lot of other SENATORS are up to their neck in the Ukraine deal with Biden & SON. Would not surprise anyone that GRAHAM, McConnell, CORYNE, Toomey, RIBIO and a lot other R & D Senators involved. You can bet the SCHMUCK is also involved. 888mouth

Come on... how else are these Senators all becoming millionaires?  They've all got their fingers in the pie.

Hilarious thing here is that they know that if it was anybody else in the Oval Office, they'd all get away with it.

Donald Trump won't hesitate for a moment, to call them out.  Thus, the latest Drudge story on his board...that "Trump is worried about income tax fraud...etc..".

They're throwing everything at the POTUS in an attempt to balance the scales of justice.

@Longiron

I doubt it. After all,Trump is known for being a forgiving guy that doesn't hold a grudge.

Trump's been 'wheeling and dealing' his whole life, not unlike most politicians.
No government in the 12,000 years of modern mankind history has led its people into anything but the history books with a simple lesson, don't let this happen to you.
