It's unlikely life will revert back to what it was like before the coronavirus pandemic until at least the middle of 2021, said Dr. Anthony Fauci.

Fauci, the nation's leading expert on infectious diseases and a member of the White House coronavirus task force, said on Friday it's going to take a while for people to enjoy leisure activities, such as going to indoor movie theaters, concerts, or other large gatherings, once again.

"If you’re talking about getting back to a degree of normality which resembles where we were prior to COVID, it’s going to be well into 2021, maybe even towards the end of 2021," Fauci said on MSNBC's Andrea Mitchell Reports.

The United States has reached almost 6.5 million cases of the coronavirus and endured over 190,000 deaths.

Though Fauci said he is confident a vaccine will be developed by the end of 2020 or early 2021, distribution of the vaccine will delay the return to normalcy.

"By the time you mobilize the distribution of the vaccinations, and you get the majority or more of the population vaccinated and protected, that’s likely not going to happen until the mid- or end of 2021," Fauci said.

Heading into flu season, Fauci also expressed his concerns over the reported daily number of coronavirus cases the country is seeing.

The U.S. is seeing about 40,000 new cases per day, and Fauci said he would like to see that number drop to at least 10,000 or below.

A WV civil rights attorney (conservative) announced on his Facebook page he's suing the governor over the lockdown:

... This time I'm filing in federal court, on behalf of a restaurant who was on the receiving end of our Governor's tyranny, via his local health department secret police. It's been proven that lockdowns and other governmental tyranny doesn't work. Even assuming it was constitutional, it doesn't work. The virus is/was going to take its course. Where the lockdown measures were most tyrannical, the virus spread at the same rate, or even worse. Then there's the unintended consequences and side effects of keeping people locked down, and destroying their small businesses, which is the reason why we weren't supposed to attempt lockdowns in the first place.

Facebook. The lockdown in W.Va. hasn't been anywhere near as bad as in some other states, but it certainly has had negative effects.

Actually the USA will start a slow return to normal on Nov 4 as the absentee vote is already affirming.

Worse, by sending all those college students home to their parents, it may have accelerated the infection rate, especially among the demographics where it's more dangerous.
