The Al-Khalifas, who rule in Bahrain as well as the Al-Maktoums, who rule in the UAE,
have had extensive business dealings w/Israel for at least 60 years, particularly in Banking.
As importantly, none have been adversaries, commencing w/British Rule in the Persian Gulf.
Since all this is hardly new; what is all the present noise about?????

Yes, historically they were not adversaries, which makes the agreement less about peace and more about formalizing relations in a display of unity for the benefit of the participants. Nobel Peace Prizes are given to leaders who unite *adversaries* or promote peaceful engagement (not promote existing fraternal engagements). For anyone reading see list at,

But that would seem impossible given the political environment in the Middle East. This will have to do, thus the acclaim!! And I don't see it of any significance for Trump in this election actually.
