New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D) and President Trump are once again at war, this time over the president's call fr the government to review potential funding cuts for New York and other cities that have allowed "lawless" protests.

Cuomo told reporters Wednesday evening that the president was now "persona non grata" in his home state, and would need an "army" to protect himself were he to walk down the street in New York City.

"Forget bodyguards, he better have an army if he thinks he’s gonna walk down the street in New York. New Yorkers don’t want to have anything to do with him," Cuomo told reporters, according to multiple news outlets.

New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo responded Wednesday night after President Trump threatened to pull federal funding from New York City -- as well as Washington, D.C.; Seattle, and Portland, Ore. -- as part of an effort to target “anarchist jurisdictions.”

“He can’t have enough bodyguards to walk through New York City,” Cuomo said. “Forget bodyguards, he'd better have an army if he thinks he’s going to walk down the streets in New York.

“He is persona non grata in New York City, and I think he knows that, and he'll never come back to New York, because New Yorkers will never forget how gratuitously mean he has been,” Cuomo added.

Both Cuomo, 62, and Trump, 74, are natives of the Queens borough of New York City.

The way this was reported last night, was, Trump said he would cut federal spending to cities who had Democrat governors.  This is Trump as I have said before.  He ran his company and looks at the United States as his company, that he owns it, and everyone in it, and owns its money and can do whatever he wants with any of it.

The technical term for that is "a crock."  Yes, the cities in question are Democrat run in states with Democrat Governors.  So what?  Correlation does NOT EQUAL causation.

Yep. There is nothing in the Constitution which requires the American people to subsidize gross negligence or incompetence, both of which have been on obvious display in NY for some time. Either they can get the situation under control or do without the funding from the rest of us.

It seems a little odd for a Governor to threaten a sitting US President's well being as well. I think the Secret Service should pay the man a visit.
