NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — It’s the great real estate debate right now — are people fleeing the city in big numbers like we thought?

CBS2’s Alice Gainer talked with two big moving companies to find out.

Workers at the U-Haul on 23rd Street say the weekends have been packed with people moving out of the city.

One couple Wednesday say they however are moving within the city. Right now, it’s hard to get exact numbers in terms of who’s moved permanently and temporarily.

De Blasio has destroyed New York City. Think about it.
All the Delis are closed.
All the Theaters are closed.
All the restaurants are closed.
All the shopping centers are burned and looted.
All businesses are being strangled by exponential taxation.
All the parks are closed or restricted.
Crime is double or quadruple normal levels with no one being prosecuted.

The reason New Yorkers are leaving is because there nothing left to leave.
They are leaving a burned out shell of a former city.
They have no reason at all to stay.
