Neighbors Clean Up San Jose Mayor Sam Liccardo’s Home After Being Vandalized During Night Of Jacob Blake Protestshttps://sanfrancisco.cbslocal.com/2020/08/29/jacob-blake-san-jose-mayor-sam-liccardo-home-vandalized-protests-jacob-blake-shooting/SAN JOSE (KPIX 5) – Neighbors of San Jose Mayor Sam Liccardo quickly banded together after his home was vandalized following protests Friday night.
According to witnesses, someone spray painted the front of the mayor’s home, which had a Black Lives Matter sign in the window, with phrases that included “BLM,†Jacob Blake, along with profanities.
Liccardo said he was away visiting a relative at the time of the incident. The mayor said the vandalism does not detract from his support of the Black Lives Matter movement.
The snake you embraced yesterday bit you today, Mayor Liccardo. And you still embrace the snake! What a fool!
Before anyone asks, within the San Jose city limits are a number of unincorporated areas that are not part of the City of San Jose. I live in one of those unincorporated areas and could neither vote for nor against Liccardo (though he may have been less awful than the other candidate(s)).
