Military Times survey shows Trump's favorability keeps dropping among active-duty troops

More active-duty U.S. troops say they’ll vote for former Vice President Joseph R. Biden than President Trump in the November election, a new poll shows, continuing a steady decline in the commander in chief’s favorability ratings among service members.

A Military Times survey released Monday found that if the election were held today, 41% of active-duty troops say they’d vote for Mr. Biden, compared to just 37% for the president. Another 13% said they intend to back a third-party candidate, while 9% said they’d skip the presidential election altogether. The Military Times surveyed 1,018 active-duty troops for the poll.

The results come as the president gears up for the home stretch of the campaign and as he and other Republicans count on strong military support at the polls in November. Rebuilding the military and winding down “endless wars” abroad, the president has said, are among the greatest achievements of his time in office.

Nobody in the military is going to expose their political views for fear of discrimination.
This military poll only reflects the view of the people who responded.
And of course soldiers will pick the safe choice and say Obama or Biden or whatever the safe choice is.
It could be dangerous to admit you will vote for Trump, in a workplace, in government, and in the military.
Either do not answer at all or just tell the pollster what you think they want to hear.
Why make trouble for yourself? They way soldiers answered this poll has no relationship to their actual vote.

Bingo.  This explains why civilians also lie to the pollsters.  The one way to ensure the person on the other end of the phone call will think well of you (and leave you in peace) is to provide the answers he/she wants.

True. It is especially bad in the military (or any government work). Your privacy is minimal, almost nonexistent, and if you piss off some guy up the chain of command they can ruin your career over anything. And we all know how sensitive, frenzied, and intense Liberals get when they get what they call 'triggered'. You deserve anything they can do to you. And once you get on their radar, they never let it go. "Oh that's that stupid Trumper guy. No promotion for him."
