In Case You Missed It Dept.:

Kamala Harris was introduced onstage Wednesday as Democrats opened the 2020 presidential campaign with a bang. I'll say this, she sees the big picture and doesn't waste any time. During her first day in the spotlight, Kamala promised to select a white male moderate to be her VP running mate.

Kamala Harris's professor father revealed in an article that he is the descendant of Jamaica's largest slave owner. This fact should help Democrats retrieve the old moderate wing of the party. However if Kamala doesn't lie low on this issue, she could end up having to pay reparations to herself.

The Democratic Convention takes place on TV this week in Milwaukee with the delegates' roll call votes for the ticket occurring online. The party's base is onboard. Between Biden's record on the crime bill and Harris's record as a prosecutor they feel they've got the black vote all locked up.

The Democratic Convention operated Monday with speakers joining via Zoom from remote locations. It was wise for party leaders to urge the delegates to stay away. When they played the National Anthem, so many delegates would drop to their knees it'd look like the Muslim call to prayer.

Joe Biden will give his acceptance speech for the Democratic Party presidential nomination by Skype from Wilmington to the convention Thursday. Due to travel issues, Joe Biden's campaign will not lease a jet airplane along with two pilots. Instead they hired an ambulance and two caregivers.

Democrats make history nominating Joe Biden for president along with the first VP woman of color as his running mate. It's very shrewd. The advantage to having a VP candidate of Indian descent on hand at the convention is if the teleprompter goes out, tech support is a local call.

Hillary Clinton is the scheduled headline speaker at the Democratic Convention tonight. She's emblematic of tactical mistakes that a front-runner can make to blow a winnable election. The Democrats were able to get Hillary Clinton to speak in Milwaukee by telling her it's not in Wisconsin.

The Democratic Convention kicked off in virtual style with a roster of pre-taped speakers with Michelle Obama as the headliner. The speakers are tasked to project party unity and optimism. Joe Biden will NOT go to the convention this week, but he'll offer a proof-of-life video.

The Democratic Convention offered speaker after speaker who accused Republicans of trying to suppress the vote by requiring a valid ID at the polls. I can't believe nobody has one. My guess is that if they handed out stimulus checks at the voting booths, people would show up with a valid ID.

Michelle Obama headlined the first night of the Democratic Convention with a taped speech. Her appearance reminded Americans of the stupendous success of her Let's Move campaign. Democrats have Americans moving out of New York, L.A., Chicago, Portland and Seattle.

A Cambridge study says drinking more than five ounces of alcohol a week may subtract years from your life. Then millions of people are imperiled by this week's drinking game. Every time a Democratic Convention speaker proposes a free government program, you drink somebody else's beer.

President Trump embarked on a campaign tour of the Midwest to counter-program the Democratic Convention. The crowds really lifted his spirits. Trump is holding up remarkably well, despite knowing that his brother just died and will now be voting for Biden/Harris in November.

President Trump celebrated the one hundredth anniversary of women's right to vote by issuing a pardon to Susan B. Anthony, who broke the law by voting in 1872. The problem today is, kids today don't know their pioneers. They think Susan B. Anthony is the first trans-gender man.

Michelle Obama gave a pre-taped speech to Democrats on the convention's opening night. It was well edited. The advantage to recording pre-taped convention speeches is it allows leading Democrats to reach out to the poor and the working class without having to leave Martha's Vineyard.

Seventeen Techniques for Truth Suppression

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

In a time of universal deceit - telling the truth is a revolutionary act.
More than any other time in history, mankind faces a crossroads. One path leads to despair and utter hopelessness. The other, to total extinction. Let us pray we have the wisdom to choose correctly.-Woody Allen
