Bill Barr claims Jacob Blake was ‘committing a felony and armed’

Attorney General Bill Barr said Wednesday that Jacob Blake was committing a felony and armed when a police officer in Kenosha, Wisconsin, shot him seven times in the back.

Barr was doing an interview with CNN’s Wolf Blitzer when he made the claims about Blake, without citing the specific felony Blake was allegedly committing.

Initially, the attorney general said he was “not going to talk about the Blake case” because it was separate from the killing of George Floyd, who died after an officer kneeled on his neck in Minneapolis for nearly eight minutes.

“Floyd was already subdued, incapacitated in handcuffs and was not armed,” Barr said. “In the Jacob case, he was in the midst of committing a felony and he was armed.”

Blitzer pointed out that in both the police department’s and the Blake family’s versions of events, cops did not know there was a knife until after the shooting.

“His family says he wasn’t armed. There may have been a knife in the car,” Blitzer said, “but he wasn’t armed when he was shot.”

When pressed for more specifics, Barr replied: “I’ve stated what I believe to be the difference.”

Nearly ‘80% of people in the city support Kyle Rittenhouse’ as he prepares to stand trial for charges stemming from a violent riot, Your Content has learned.

The chair of the Kenosha Republican Party said that 80 percent of people support Kyle Rittenhouse — the 17-year-old who shot dead two rioters last weekend with an AR-15 rifle as they tried snatching it from him – and that the other 20 percent are people who “can’t stand the president.”

She said the majority of the town’s residents supported Rittenhouse, who opened fire while sitting in the street after he’d been smacked over the head with a skateboard.

Rittenhouse was among a group of self-styled militia men who had gone to Kenosha to try to protect the city from looters and rioters amid uproar over the shooting of Jacob Blake.

Decker said Rittenhouse acted in self defense during an interview on Fox & Friends Wednesday.

“It looks like it was self-defense, and, talking to people around the area, I would say about 80 percent of the people support what Kyle did,” she said, adding the remaining 20 percent of people “are probably the people that can’t stand Donald Trump and can’t stand anything conservative or Republican, so they’re just going to attack anything that resembles that.”/quote]

What he should be concerned about is alternative to his company developing that skirts using Twitter, just like GoFundMe was skirted to fund Rittenhouse's defense by alternative fund raising site GiveSendGo.

That will significantly alter his net worth if it makes it.

No, he was a lifeguard who was cleaning graffiti off the walls, who had helped injured people, and was helping defend a business when surrounded by the very Leftist thugs he and others were there to deter--not just surrounded, but pursued and attacked by the sort who are already famous for beating people into the hospital and numerous killings and the destruction of entire business districts.

Considering "in custody and awaiting trial" is a status that often lasts months, the haste to judgement here is surprising, but when people who are arrested for looting and burning aren't charged and simply are released, perhaps the dockets were clear.

Not as fancy or 'right-wingy evil' as "self-styled militia", but let's not let the truth get in the way of the story, right?
