Trump sets special Sunday presser to announce ‘major therapeutic breakthrough’ on COVID-19

President Donald Trump will announce a “breakthrough” in the therapeutic treatment of COVID-19 Sunday evening, according to White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany.

The president is set to make the announcement at 6 p.m. EDT and he’ll be accompanied by Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar as well Food and Drug Administration chief Dr. Stephan Hahn, McEnany posted on Twitter late Saturday.

The deep state, or whoever, over at the FDA is making it very difficult for drug companies to get people in order to test the vaccines and therapeutics. Obviously, they are hoping to delay the answer until after November 3rd. Must focus on speed, and saving lives!

President Trump on Sunday granted an emergency authorization for the usage of convalescent plasma to treat coronavirus patients, dubbing it a “major breakthrough."

Speaking to reporters from the White House Sunday, Trump said the FDA has "issued an emergency use authorization... for a treatment known as convalescent plasma."

"This is a powerful therapy that transfuses very very strong antibodies from the blood of recovered patients to help treat patients battling a current infection," Trump said, adding that the authorization will "expand access to this treatment."...........

Convalescent plasma is one of the few treatments that is very nearly a panacea for infectious diseases. They used it in the 1918 pandemic, when it was practically the only treatment that worked.

Effective and safe Covid-19 treatments being available before Election Day 2020 are serious blows to Dem hopes. And if effective and safe Covid-19 vaccines are announced before Election Day, the Dems might even file a lawsuit to prevent the release(s).
