Judge orders Trump to pay legal fees to Stormy Daniels

A California court ordered President Trump to pay $44,100 to Stephanie Clifford, the adult film actress known as Stormy Daniels, to cover her legal fees regarding her nondisclosure agreement.

The order from California Superior Court Judge Robert Broadbelt, which was filed on Monday but posted online Friday by Clifford's attorneys, surrounds a $130,000 nondisclosure agreement (NDA) with former attorney Michael Cohen in his capacity representing Trump. Clifford and Cohen both say Trump had an affair with the actress from 2006 to 2007, claims the president denies.

Clifford first sued Trump in 2018 to try to be released from the agreement, and Trump’s lawyers agreed out of court not to countersue or enforce the NDA. Clifford’s suit was ultimately dismissed, and her claims ruled moot since the NDA had been deemed unenforceable.

Small potatoes but ridiculous, all the same. Case dismissed but he still has to pay her legal fees?

I'd do it out of pity not because some runt judge said so.

I certainly don't see any reason to pity her.  I see her as a despicable human being who tried to destroy our President for her own wealth and fame.

Yes, it's ridiculous that he has to pay her anything and hopefully this doesn't send her a message that in anyway she prevailed and doesn't encourage her to  make another attempt to somehow collect $$.

I don't get it,either. I guess Trump figured it was cheaper to do that than to go back to court and fight it. His lawyers ain't exactly strip mall types.

First if,  this happened it was 17 years ago, when TRUMP was a private citizen.  Not in the Oval Office, or in any public office.  WHY IS THIS RELEVANT?  LAST I HEARD, STORMY HAS TO PAY POTUS $290,000.00 DOLLARS FOR LYING AND EXTORTING MONEY FROM A FAMOUS PERSON. Pure harassment of POTUS....still.

You forget. These people have a real spouse, they are married to their craving for power. All else will be second, like an alcoholic's spouse is to the bottle, or a junkie's to the needle.
They can put up with what the other does in exchange for that power and the wealth that goes with it, and that is the price of their souls.
