@Applewood @mystery-akApple, you said: "My apologies to Trump supporters, but I believe his efforts to kill mail-in voting will, if successful, backfire on him "bigly." I don't believe he has considered that his actions could have negative consequences not only on his re-election efforts, but also in getting a congress that would work with him if he is re-elected."

Trump says he will not give money to the United States Postal Service so they will not be able to deliver the ballots back in time for the count on election night. Plus, I heard his new Postmaster (was a big Trump doner) say that. Postmaster is warning voters their ballot might be too late to be counted, if post office doesn't get the money. Trump backs him up by saying he, Trump, won't give them the money.
This problem is going to stay in the news until the election - that Trump is taking away their right to vote a mail ballot, and he said he would do it.
I truly believe, as you do, this action on his part, will/may get him defeated. Repeating: Voters will believe he has taken away their right to vote and he did it on purpose because he said he was going to do it. That is taking away their right to vote in a national election. They will believe that is
"Voter Suppression", to take away their constitutional right to vote. Said another way:
If that state approves ballots by mail, and Trump acts to stop their votes being counted - he is guilty of "Voter Suppression".VOTER SUPPRESSION: "Voter suppression is a strategy used to influence the outcome of an election by discouraging or preventing specific groups of people from voting. The tactics of voter suppression range from minor changes to
make voting less convenient, to physically intimidating and even physically attacking prospective voters, which is illegal. Voter suppression can be effective if a significant number of voters are intimidated or disenfranchised."
