Director and actor Rob Reiner said Monday that if President Donald Trump were to deliver a speech accepting his party’s nomination at the historic Civil War battlefield at Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, it would be a tribute to “White Supremacy.”

the Gettysburg victory was also the event that allowed Lincoln to credibly issue the Emancipation Proclamation.

I don't see any so called White Radicals claiming 'supremacy'. All I see are Liberals and minorities claiming that White people are 'superior' at birth. White people have a distinct advantage over every other race simply on the basis of being White. Don't tell that to the Asians or the Latinos. Actually, Lincoln decided to issue it after the Battle of Antietam in September of 1862. He issued the official proclamation in Jan. 1863 six months before the Battle of Gettysburg.

I NEVER knew I was supreme.  Never,  even thought that.  Now some communists call me SUPREME..so I guess I have to believe it.  Some brown/black people think I am SUPREME....then HATE me for what THEY...THINK!    Nothing, I ever, thought about.  I live poverty income, fight for my health daily, worry about my kids, paying my bills.  BUT..NOT ONCE...ever thought about skin.  That is something new to me.  If I am so supreme, why, did I have cancer, heart attack, ruptured appendix at 7 months pregnant?  Many other hardships & pain,  like most human beings.  I don't get it.

The good news here is when an "important personage of the 'murikan left" is that freaking stupid,it gives you some idea as to the reasoning ability of the rank and file members.

"Communist" is so...so...so,1930-ish. They have evolved past that level now,and are Fascists. Has to be frustrating for them to have to hide THAT light behind a barrel after decades of accusing everyone else of being a fascist,and saying it is an evil thing to do.

I was thinking about Ken Burns Civil War series & coulda sworn I remembered it as Gettysburg. Goes to show as bad as my memory is I really need to double check before posting non-facts.

I wish you had not put a picture of a woman's hair on fire as it reminded me of when that happened to me...yes, it did.

I was a grade school teacher and at Christmas, we had a dinner at a restaurant for all the teachers and principal.  The tables were put together in a U.  I was sitting inside the U, at a corner where where the table was connected to the head table.  Someone behind me at the head table wanted to speak to me so I leaned back that direction which put a burning candle behind my head.  My hair was in a French Twist and, of course, there was hair spray on the twist.  The candle lit the hair spray and flames were going up high in the air - I could not see it so did not know it was happening.  All of a sudden, someone was beating on my head. 

From that time forward, the principal called me "Fire Teacher".  The day after the "fire" I went to my hairdresser and said, "A strange thing happened last night."  It actually was not bad because with the hair up, the part that caught fire was the underneath part when the hair was down.

Since that time, if I see a lit candle, I know where it is in proximity to me.
