The debate was labeled Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. vs Alan Dershowitz: The Great Vaccine Debate! This historic debate between Children’s Health Defense Chairman Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., and Harvard Law Professor Alan Dershowitz happened few days ago but not one mainstream media giant decided to report about it!

On July 12, signs went up on anti-vaccine pages about a live debate between Robert F Kennedy Jr and Alan Dershowitz.

The debate opened with a previous quote from Dershowitz that said that the state has a right to compel people to be vaccinated, that there is no constitutional right not to be vaccinated, and that “the state has the power to literally take you to a doctor’s office and plunge a needle into your arm.”

Kennedy is an anti-vaxxer and either not very informed or not very honest. For example, this Kennedy comment:

The problem is Anthony Fauci put $500 million of our dollars into that vaccine. He owns half the patent. He and these five guys who are working for him were entitled to collect royalties from that.

1. Multiple Federal agencies have aided vaccine and treatment development from multiple companies. The agencies, not Dr. Fauci personally, and under the authority of the Federal Government, not Dr. Fauci personally/alone. Kennedy is demonizing Fauci and playing the Bogeyman Card.

2. There are multiple vaccines in various phases of testing. Three, not one (Kennedy used the singular, "vaccine"). And funding has come from multiple agencies, not just the institute Dr. Fauci heads up among the National Institutes of Health.

3. If AstraZenica/Oxford, Pfizer/BioNTech, and Moderna share the patents for their vaccines with the US Federal government, they share those patents with the US Federal Govenment, not Dr. Fauci.

Whether uninformed or dishonest, Kennedy's claim is stupidly wrong, a smokescreen that partly conceals his opposition to vaccines generally.
