We voted in a runoff election one month ago just as TX was started to ramp up in new infections and we were being warned about how terrible it was going to get. The doors were automatic, so no touching there, then we were in a very wide hallway with marks for social distancing. Everyone was wearing masks. We brought our own pens to sign the book. First time to use new touchscreen voting machines, and they gave us our very own sterile high - tech stylus (a q-tip, lol) so there was no need to touch the screen. It felt very safe, and I am not at all worried about voting in person in November.
Better yet, my choice for the runoff for US House of Rep, who spent less than $500k, won by a margin of 70% - 30% over a carpetbagger who spent $7 million.
