Well, never had to resort to using the Bible pages for rolling paper, but we did resort to using a toilet paper roll, with the center cut out and then tin foil in place to make a pipe...

Tampon wrappers work, too.

I started to write "They don't have to be very complicated",but after a micro-second of consideration,I changed that to "they CAN'T be complicated." Smoking hash does not tend to make you clever.

Or at least that is what my mama told me. I'll take her word for it.

#Antifa in Portland have announced "direct actions" (riots) for Friday & Saturday night.
On 19 March, they're meeting at Tom McCall Park at 8 pm. On 20 March, they're meeting at Jamison Square in the Pearl District (same area they riot in continuously) at 8:30 pm #PortlandRiots

From Reason:
Quote
The Dream of the '90s Died in Portland
Once an up-and-coming city, Portland was destroyed from within by radical activism and political ineptitude.
Nancy Rommelmann | From the May 2021 issue

A typical night in Portland 2020. The sun is down and a few hundred people, nearly all in their 20s and 30s, start to congregate, by twos and threes, at a prearranged location, usually a city park but sometimes at the U.S. Immigration and Customs building, or City Hall, or, as they are tonight, on the strip of downtown that is home to local and federal courthouses and the city's central police station, known as Justice Center. The drumming starts, there are some Black Lives Matter slogans shouted but mostly it's calls of "bleep THE POLICE," none of whom are in evidence. They almost never are during the nightly protests, or not until things get hot, when windows are smashed and, for what will end up being nearly 200 nights in a row, fires started.

On this night, I do see one officer. He is sitting alone inside the lobby of the back entrance to Justice Center. Beside him is an industrial fan. When I ask why, he explains that the night before, a group of protesters sloshed in a giant bucket of diarrhea into the room where he sits. The fan is to try to get the stench out. Behind me, five teenagers stand at the curb gawping.  ...

Young people had come here to achieve those achievable dreams. What was taking so long? Why did they have to live three, four people to a house, when just a few years ago rent was affordable? When my husband told baristas at the cafés he owned that, no, he couldn't raise the starting wage to $12 an hour—this was in 2014—seeing as they also received tips and health insurance, the response was a general chilling, an "us against them" ethos that seemed to seep into the city. Activists became more vocal, denouncing businesses they saw as anti-LGBTQ. The city's most active queer center was called out in 2015 for being too "white-centric." And in 2016, students at Reed College formed RAR (Reedies Against Racism) and staged a protest against the 1978 Saturday Night Live skit "King Tut," claiming Steve Martin's portrayal of the Egyptian pharaoh was racist. "The gold face of the saxophone dancer leaving its tomb is an exhibition of blackface," a student told the student newspaper.  ...

When Donald Trump won the presidency, Portlanders' anger catalyzed into a manic animus that took the form of compulsive marching and letter writing and CNN watching and the schadenfreude-tinged hope that Mike Flynn/Stormy Daniels/the Russia scandal would sweep the president out of office any day now. In this way, Portland was not different from other heavily Democratic U.S. cities.

But there was an additional agitation in Portland, in that the plans of those who'd come to try their hand at baking and winemaking and woodworking and beekeeping had become unreachable.  ...

FAR-LEFT ACTIVIST CHARGED IN FIREBOMB ATTACK ON POLICE
April 7, 2021
Quote
A well-known leader of far-left protest movements in Indiana is now a suspect in the attempted murder of two Oregon police officers, where officials say the suspect traveled across the country to attend violent riots in Portland, Ore.

According to reports, Malik Muhammed is one of the people who organized protests in Indianapolis that turned deadly in 2020. On Friday, he was taken into police custody in his home state on a 28-charge indictment connected to violent unrest in Portland last September.

The series of charges he now faces consist of attempted aggravated murder, attempted assault in the first degree, attempted murder in the first degree, unlawful manufacture of a destructive device, and a number of weapons charges.

The accusations center around “allegations that Muhammed attempted to murder two police officers” after taking the over 2,000-mile journey to the Rose City, according to prosecutors. ...

Portland deploying unarmed park rangers to combat surge in shootings
by Jake Dima, Breaking News Reporter |
 | April 08, 2021 03:51 PM
Washington Examiner
Quote
The Portland City Council in Oregon has a new plan to fight a rising tide of gun violence: deploying unarmed park rangers who are not sworn law enforcement officers in some of the city's most dangerous quarters.

The city moved forward with the plan on Wednesday, giving the rangers a $1.4 million boost to "provide a positive, unarmed community safety presence in Portland’s parks and surrounding neighborhoods." People in the program can enforce park ordinances, and "when voluntary compliance cannot be gained, exclusions or ejections may be used, as well as civil penalties in limited cases."

Costing the city nearly $6 million, the plan does not allocate anything to bolster the Portland Police Bureau as the area has experienced roughly 250 shootings in 2021 so far, compared to 111 in the first few months of 2020. Instead, law enforcement officers have been directed to "realign internal resources to create six (6) additional assault investigative detectives and one (1) sergeant to coordinate on gun-related investigations."

"The devastating rise in gun violence in Portland and across the nation requires an urgent response and today the Portland City council took action," Commissioner Jo Ann Hardesty wrote in a tweet. "This afternoon the City Council unanimously passed a comprehensive gun violence reduction proposal." ...

@mountaineer

That should work well. What could possibly go wrong with a clever plan like that? All those crack dealers, armed robbers, rapists, and junkies needing "fix money" needed was a calm voice telling them to "go and sin no more!"

Almost makes ya wish that YOU were the one that came up with it,doesn't it?

Occupied Portland ICE building set afire by left-wing extremists during Saturday night insurrection
April 11, 2021 | Vivek Saxena

Left-wing extremists reportedly set a U.S. Immigration and Customers Enforcement building on fire during another insurrection Saturday evening in Portland, Oregon.

Horrifying video footage from the insurrection showed the facility’s entrance on fire and its doors shaking as agents were “trying to apparently get out.”

Besides trying to burn down the facility and kill those inside, the left-wing extremists also reportedly launched fireworks at the building, lit a fire in its driveway and smashed its windows.

Yet as of Sunday morning, not a single media outlet in America save for Fox News had even taken note of the insurrection. Even local media outlets in Portland appeared to be ignoring it. ...

Portland Police Declare Riot As Protesters Vow To Burn Precinct Down, Lob Debris At Police, Set Fires In Street
By Brock Simmons
Published April 13, 2021 at 1:19am

Predictably, the rioters in Portland, Oregon, took to the streets in an attempt to match their counterparts in Brooklyn Center, MN. They *PEACEFULLY* set dumpsters on fire, *PEACEFULLY* threw rocks through windows of a police precinct, *PEACEFULLY* threw fireworks at police, and *PEACEFULLY* chanted “Every city, every town, burn the precincts to the ground.”

*PEACEFULLY*, of course.

Rioters in Portland Burn Police Union Building After Shooting of Daunte Wright in Minnesota

Bob Price 14 Apr 2021

Antifa rioters in Portland, Oregon, set fire to the police union building during a pre-announced “direct action.” Despite the advance notice and the history of attacks on the facility, Portland Police Bureau officers were unable to stop the behavior.

Portland Police Bureau (PPB) officials pleaded in advance with Antifa regarding a pre-announced direct action plan to attack the area surrounding the Portland Police Association office in the Kenton neighborhood. The PPB statement reads:

Quote
called “direct action” event this evening at Kenton Park (with a 9 p.m. march). Such events have historically included wanton destruction of public and private property, violence and the active threat of harm by thrown or propelled objects, fire and impact weapons. Similarly advertised events promoted and then engaged in arson and riots.

    …

The event advertised tonight may take place in or near the Kenton neighborhood. In the past, violent crowds have targeted the Portland Police Association office and employees with arson and other violent acts in that neighborhood. Violent crowds have also targeted North Precinct, including attempts to burn it down.

How about a solid dose of self-respect before we arm them? After all, anyone who can't respect him or her self is NOT going to respect thee or me.

To ME,these clowns have just proven nothing more than that there is NOTHING they won't tolerate as long as they are allowed to keep their uniforms, badges, and guns.

AND........,the ONE thing we can count on from them if order is ever restored again is for them to regain their "self-respect" by busting the heads of harmless white people.

After all,we KNOW the only way they can regain their "self-respect" is by busting the heads of SOMEBODY,and we all know they won't be allowed to bust any non-white heads,so who does that leave?

Not that they had any actual self-respect to lose to start with. If they did, they would have resigned and gone somewhere else to work long ago.

Hell, they would probably work for free if they could get food vouchers and free housing, just to be able to wear badges and guns and pretend they have some actual "Authori-Tay".
