Florida surpasses New York in total COVID-19 cases Florida has surpassed New York in total statewide COVID-19 cases after reporting more than 414,000 cases Saturday morning.
The Florida Department of Health is reporting a total of 414,511 cases. The New York State Department of Health is reporting 411,200 and California is reporting 445,400 as of Saturday.
Florida now has the second-highest number of coronavirus cases in the country.
The Florida Department of Health reported 12,199 new coronavirus cases in the state as of Saturday as well as 126 new deaths.
