Trump admits he 'often' regrets tweets, retweets get him 'into trouble', in interview with Barstool Sports CEO"

Do you sometimes -- because I follow you on Twitter and I know I do this... do you ever tweet out and be like -- you wake up and, 'Aw man, I wish I didn't send that one out'?" Portnoy asked.

"Often, too often," Trump responded. "It used to be in the old days before this, you'd write a letter and you'd say this letter is very big. You put it on your desk and then you go back tomorrow and you say, 'Oh, I'm glad I didn't send it,' right? But we don't do that with Twitter, right? We put it out instantaneously, we feel great, and then you start getting phone calls -- 'Did you really say this?' I say, 'What's wrong with that?' and you find out a lot of things."
Trump then acknowledged that "it's the retweets" that get him "into trouble" versus the tweets he writes himself.

Trump's Mother sent him to the New York Military Academy at 13 because
of his inability to change bad behavior. What has changed 60 years later???

If tweeting is bad, thank God that's the worst of his behavior.  I personally love his tweets.  It's refreshing to have an honest man in office.

It’s nice we don’t have to guess where the president stands—he says what he means and means what he says. Promises made, promises kept.

The original idea behind Trump's tweeting was to disseminate the real news, which Trump claimed he could not get out via the usual news outlets.  But as far as I can tell, most of his tweets consist of bashing his enemies (real or imagined), whining and complaining about the Democrats, the polls, some news guy who was mean to him, etc., spreading rumors, gossip and conspiracy theories, getting involved in controversies and problems that are none of his business, and so on.  I don't see much in his tweets that qualifies as news.  It's not just the retweets which "get him into trouble," as he put it; it's his own original tweets.

The White House has its own Twitter account.  Any news to be disseminated should come from that account.  He has a communications team to put out that information.  They know how to communicate clearly and would know what is important to get out to the public.  Why doesn't Trump let them do their job?  Surely, as president, he has better things to do.  Or during his leisure time, he could put the phone down and find something else to do.  Like maybe do something fun with his wife and young son?  Or maybe just get a good night sleep.

Our electronic devices, the internet and social media are wonderful, but using them to excess can actually lead to an unhealthy addiction.  No, I'm not a mental health expert, but I have experienced that addiction in my own life.  I have to make a conscious effort to shut off the devices and do something else.  Maybe it's time this president does the same.

Well, it's still a toss-up whether Trump will be re-elected.  I would be delighted to see this reality tv show presidency canceled.  Unfortunately, I'm not so sure the tv show that will replace it will be better and it might be a lot worse.

"A lot worse."

Yes. I agree. None of his tweets bother me.  He said some RE-TWEETS,  were the issue, as media claimed they were his thoughts.  HIS WORDS.  NOT.   www.magapill.com  My post below.

ALL KENNEDYS were horn dogs. LBJ. CLINTON! Clinton has child with black prostitute. DANNY WILLIAMS. Hillary found in hotel room with female black prostitute! Not to mention their k!ll list. Same with Kenyan obama. Married to trannie, kids belong to Dr.Anita Blanchard & Martin Nesbitt. Obama was a male wh0re for rich white men to get his cocaine. He smokes pot, drinks, so much he had BREWERY PUT IN WH. Trump does not smoke, drink alcohol, no illegal drugs, no coffee! He is more wholesome than most are!

YES.  MEDIA is the problem...not POTUS.

Without a doubt two things need to change if we ever are to right this ship. Education and the media.

One breeds young socialists yearly by the thousands, the other sets the national dialogue and deceptively shapes the news to reinforce Leftist culture—if you can call it that. Both, engaged in violations of tradition and of the spirit of fairness and freedom. They have seriously breached their constitutional societal roles in American life. This is the shape of bad things to come.
