Durham reportedly ‘in negotiations with some people for guilty pleas’ in ‘Spygate’ probe

U.S. Attorney John Durham, assigned by Attorney General William Barr to investigate the origins of the Obama-era ‘Russian collusion’ counterintelligence operation into the 2016 Trump campaign, is reportedly “in negotiations” to secure “guilty pleas” from officials allegedly involved in criminal violations surrounding the probe.

In an interview with WMAL’s “Mornings on the Mall” on Monday, former U.S. Attorney Joe DiGenova was asked to comment on a statement Justice Department spokeswoman Kerri Kupec made to Fox News’ Bill Hemmer on Sunday, in which she suggested that Durham could produce a report detailing his investigation by the end of summer.

“There is a story to be told there. The American people deserve resolution, and frankly, justice deserves resolution,” Kupec said.

If Durham is in negotiations with the criminals, well that's the best news we've heard so far.  They keep talking about a report, we been getting details for a couple years now, we don't need a report, we need to see some justice.  The DC Federal Court needs to be avoided, otherwise it just another swamp dog and pony show.

Negotiating to secure guilty pleas?   Does anyone else see the "handwriting on this wall" besides me?

Since when do you negotiate with the guilty before bringing charges???

How would you know whether or not any charges have been brought?  Are you privy to grand jury actions?

Isn't this fairly routine in plea deals?  The prosecutor lays out the charges to opposing counsel--usually of smaller fish--- and the qui-pro-quo needed from the defendant to plea guilty to a lesser charge and avoid trial?

As long as this is what's going on, I don't see the problem.

How we would know is it would be leaked if ANY charges had been brought ... since it's kind of an issue of great interest.  (friggin duh)

Yeah, the problem with that is that Barr has already said there will be no indictments for Biden or Obama.... who happened to be the "higher ups".

Pardon my skepticism here, but this does not, IMHO, bode well.   Hope I'm wrong.
