HURLBURT FIELD, Fla. (WEAR-TV) — One of the toughest career paths in the U.S. Air Force is Special Warfare, described as a "job for the mentally tough and physically strong."
More than a dozen women have pursued the training since the Department of Defense reversed a policy that prevented females from serving in direct combat roles.
So far, none have completed the rigorous program.

@rangerrebew None will ever be able to pass it without massive doses of male hormones, either. It's a job that requires brute strength because oftentimes the pararescue guys have to throw a wounded,or even worse, the dead-weight of a dead pilot over their shoulders, and run to the basket with them. Yeah, adreneline helps a bunch, but adreneline doesn't give you bone strength or endurance.
Granted, most pilots tend to be on the small size due to the size of fighter cockpits and all the survival gear they have to wear, but when you go in to rescue one that is wounded and under fire, you have to pick it all up and run with it.
