@Elderberry That woman may have graduated,but I can guarantee you she did NOT earn the beret. It was GIVEN to her for political reasons,and you can bet your ass she had a political "rabbi" with influence over the Armed Forces Committee watching her progress every step of the way,and informing her superiors he or she was watching,and that the future training budget of SF was dependent on her graduating.
The other woman that "technically graduated" did NOT graduate,"technically,or otherwise". I forget now who her political "Rabbi" in the US Senate was,but the refusal to graduate her forced a serving Colonel and several of his staff into early retirement. I used to know that Colonel's name (didn't know him personally,though),and the name of his SGM,but have forgotten all the details. IIRC,this was during Bubba's second term in office,and Bubbette! was the one really pushing it from the top.
