The University of Southern California’s School of Cinematic Arts announced Friday that it will remove its exhibit of Hollywood legend John Wayne, citing an initiative to promote “anti-racist cultural values” following protests from students.

“Conversations about systemic racism in our cultural institutions along with the recent global, civil uprising by the Black Lives Matter Movement require that we consider the role our school can play as a change maker in promoting antiracist cultural values and experiences,” Evan Hughes, the assistant dean of diversity and inclusion, said in a statement. “Therefore, it has been decided that the Wayne Exhibit will be removed.”

Limbo was the entry hall for Dante's Inferno; USC is an entry hall for Hollyweird.
If, as anti-Covid-vaxxers claim, https://www.poynter.org/fact-checking/2021/robert-f-kennedy-jr-said-the-covid-19-vaccine-is-the-deadliest-vaccine-ever-made-thats-not-true/ , https://gospelnewsnetwork.org/2021/11/23/covid-shots-are-the-deadliest-vaccines-in-medical-history/ , The Vaccine is deadly, where in the US have Pfizer and Moderna hidden the millions of bodies of those who died of "vaccine injury"? Is reality a Big Pharma Shill?

Millions now living should have died. Anti-Covid-Vaxxer ghouls hardest hit.

Not a wise move.

Any above 40 remember him as a hero and an avid American.

Erase him and you erase a great memory we have of him and that will not sit well on true Americans,

Unbelievable!!!  Very sad.  I love John Wayne movies. He made westerns for decades which depicted how the Ole West was settled.  He is/was party of Hollywood history; back when movies were worth watching.

Limbo was the entry hall for Dante's Inferno; USC is an entry hall for Hollyweird.

USC has been among the top cinema schools in the world.

The problem is not USC, or cinema.

It is handing over to children, the governance of institutions.

The administrations of these schools, abdicate their responsibilities.

Absolutely!  After watching Grit, the western channel, my granddaughter (age 10) fell in love with John Wayne movies.  She'll watch color or black and white.  She dressed as John Wayne on Halloween.  Send anything John Wayne to Texas.  We'll take him !

If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.

-Dwight Eisenhower-

"The [U.S.] Constitution is a limitation on the government, not on private individuals ... it does not prescribe the conduct of private individuals, only the conduct of the government ... it is not a charter for government power, but a charter of the citizen's protection against the government."

So is any Western made. say before 1968, subject to SJW destruction?

Or any non-PC movie for that matter.

Maybe the greatest comedic performance of the past 25 years (IMO) was Robert Downey Jr.'s in Tropic Thunder.
What's the odds of that ever being portrayed like that again, or will the  SJW pukes erase his performance out?
I display the Confederate Battle Flag in honor of my great great great grandfathers who spilled blood at Wilson's Creek and Shiloh.  5 others served in the WBTS with honor too.

Never be made today.

Give it time. It's on the "Top Ten List of Things to Do" once the comrades take over.

Next on their list will be Jimmy Stewart.  The guy who was a strong conservative, Led bombing raids in Europe, Air Force Reserve General, and overall decent human being.  Just doesn't fit the new Hollywood, BLM, and Antifa model.

Harvey, Mr. Smith Goes to Washington, and It's a Wonderful Life are now on life support.

IIRC,he also went back on AD during the VN war,and flew a few bombing missions there, too.

Don't know about the Korean War,but I would be surprised if he missed it.

I remember back when ‘old things’ we’re thought to be so wonderful that they were put on display in grand buildings, museums...back when there were museums; but I am getting ahead of today’s events.

Movies absolutely must be preserved as vivid recordings of human events. They are valuable old things showing who we were and what we cared about in the times in which we lived. It would be a shame if the great westerns were lost in the hurry to rewrite history.
