Crenshaw takes aim at Duckworth's patriotism, accuses her of supporting the 'destruction of America'

Freshman GOP Rep. Dan Crenshaw (Texas) took aim at Sen. Tammy Duckworth Wednesday, questioning the Illinois Democrat’s patriotism after she suggested that there should be a "national dialogue" about whether to remove statues and monuments of the founding fathers.

Crenshaw, a former Navy SEAL, was discussing voter outreach to veterans during a Trump campaign “MAGA meetup” event on Thursday when he took a swing at Duckworth, a combat veteran who lost both her legs serving in Iraq, accusing her of supporting the “destruction of America,” The Washington Post first reported.

“I think a general message that the left stands for the destruction of America and the right doesn't probably works pretty well with veterans, even liberal ones, because even liberal veterans probably don't agree with that, unless you're Tammy Duckworth,” he said. 


Crenshaw’s remarks echo comments made by the Trump campaign, which released a statement alleging that Duckworth is “using her military service to deflect from her support for the left-wing campaign to villainize America's founding."

I wouldn't consider three people standing around encouraging a fourth, who's home, bank account & wife they covet, to blow his own brains out, crazy. I'd call them ruthless, cruel and amoral. But not crazy.

But if the fourth guy takes them up on it I'd definitely consider him crazy.

Yes. All the top leaders who want that and some of their people.  Iranians for SURE!   POT POL, MAO, STALIN, LENIN, CASTRO, MADURO etc.  It always means death to the people.   BTW Russia is a CHRISTIAN nation again and into capitalism.

Even though I was cheering, I was also cringing at Tucker Carlson's aim at Duckworth.  Attacking disabled vets is normally not a winning strategy.  Even though I respect Duckworth's service and sacrifice, I abhor her attempt to hijack it for political points to help weaken this country.

Yep.  No name used up 5 decades of that Sympathy card.  The people know it and won't tolerate that excuse anymore.   Thank you for your service.  Sad that you were injured, but your actions speak louder than words.
