George Washington spent years fighting nothing more than holding actions in the midst of a smallpox epidemic until the proper moment came along.  Sam Houston did the exact same over a shorter period.

Gonna leave it right there.
Concise and eloquent. I agree entirely.

Lose in November and there will be no Yorktown or San Jacinto. Not for a very long time.

There won't be one anyway. Not if y'all accept simple appeasement.

Right. Thirty years now... Bupkis. Not a damn thing to show for it.
And I'll leave it right there too.

As you well know, I was right there doing the same thing for FAR longer than 30 years and got the exact same for my efforts but my makeup simply will not allow me to pull the plug on this republic.  I love it too much.  I get very discouraged at times but always come back to it's worth fighting to the bitter end.
"I wish it need not have happened in my time," said Frodo.

"So do I," said Gandalf, "and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us."

Oh me too. Sooner or later one has to refer to the definition of insanity. Holding actions change nothing. But backstabbing Republicans do.

Nope. No more candy from the clown at the front of the parade. Damn-well put up or shut up. Show me the money. I am done flailing for nothing.

Suit yourself.  I'm done with this for today.

:yowsa: @skeeter I know. It may well be too late.  I have expressed that myself here several times in fact but in the end, I'm just not wired for quitting. This country may very well become the world's next Venezuela but it will do so over my literally dead body.

I’d like to think it will be over mine as well.

The history of man is replete with dramatic reversals, I’m praying for one now.

The Cook Political Report updated its 2020 electoral college projection map Wednesday, giving presumptive Democratic nominee and former Vice President Joe Biden a healthy lead over President Donald Trump.

Wisconsin and Pennsylvania, two states that were crucial to Trump’s win in 2016, moved from the “toss up” column to the “lean Democratic” column. Georgia, which Trump won by over five points in 2016, moved from the “lean Republican” column to the “toss up” column, joining Arizona, North Carolina and Florida, the updated map shows.

Trump won all of those states four years ago.

“This election is looking more like a Democratic tsunami than simply a blue wave,” said Amy Walter, Cook’s national editor.

Other changes to the projection include Maine’s 2nd Congressional District, which moved from “likely Republican” to “lean Republican.” Maine, which apportions its electoral votes by congressional district, moved from “lean Democratic” to “likely Democratic” as a result.

Nebraska, the only other state apportions its electoral votes by congressional district, saw its suburban 2nd Congressional District shift from “toss up” to “lean Democrat” in Cook’s report.

“These moves alone push Biden over the 270 electoral vote threshold,” Walter said, meaning that Biden would still win the election if he were to lose every toss up state.

Well, Rasmussen has Biden by 10.  He gave Hillary a 7 point lead after the tape leaked, but he generally favored Trump that year, and gave him a lead in July.

  • Dems-greatest existential threat to USA republic!
Wake up everyone.  Charlie Cook is an uber liberal Democrat.  Why the NYT and WaPO sing his praises.

I would not trust one word from this analysis.  It is poppycock.

HRC had a 7% lead going into the election of 2016.  Trump won.  Enough said.

The choice between Trump and whoever he is running against, say Biden is a choice between our democratic republic and radical socialism which will lead to a totalitarian form of the worst communism.  It is that simple, and I think enough Americans outside the Trump core supporters will come to that realization.

Biden has included AOC into his campaign effort.  Trump needs to remind Americans every day what her ideas mean to the people of America, starting with 50% of all jobs existing today gone in the next four years.  Union jobs too!

I fully expect a tsunami in November, but it will be the Republicans enjoying that moment in time, not the Democommies!!!

Donald Trump is the greatest president in my 66 years on this planet.  Just imagine if he had a party that worked with him what could be done.

Trump wins, but he could win bigger if he eliminated the H1-b Visa Program as he promised.  It would generate 1-2 million more votes.

A Hill/HarrisX poll has Biden’s lead shrinking to 4 pts. For whatever it’s worth.

Polls, at this point, are meaningless.

Polls, atthis point, are meaningless.

The only reason for polls is to gauge the effectiveness of liberal media propaganda.
If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.

-Dwight Eisenhower-

"The [U.S.] Constitution is a limitation on the government, not on private individuals ... it does not prescribe the conduct of private individuals, only the conduct of the government ... it is not a charter for government power, but a charter of the citizen's protection against the government."

-Ayn Rand-

After having seen dozens & dozens of polls suddenly ‘tighten up’ two or three days before the election I gotta agree.
