President Trump said on Friday that he is creating a new monument honoring "the greatest Americans."

He made the announcement at the end of his speech during an Independence Day fireworks celebration at Mount Rushmore in South Dakota.

"I am signing an executive order to establish the National Garden of American Heroes, a vast outdoor park that will feature the statues of the greatest Americans to ever live," he said.

The White House quickly released the text of the executive order, which includes the creation of a task force "for Building and Rebuilding Monuments to American Heroes" which will be led by the interior secretary.

Live in harmony with one another; do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly, do not claim to be wiser than you are.  Do not repay anyone evil for evil, but take thought for what is noble in the sight of all.  If it is possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all…do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

That's a good starter list.  But there's lots more who also deserve recognition.  This will of course trigger the left no matter what.

It's an interesting counterweight to the cancel culture currently trying to destroy the icons of the United States.  A forward move, rather than a defensive one.

MLK the Communist?

So much for a Garden of Heros....
I display the Confederate Battle Flag in honor of my great great great grandfathers who spilled blood at Wilson's Creek and Shiloh.  5 others served in the WBTS with honor too.
